"Behold! From chaos, order! From ugliness, beauty! From basic ingredients and an oven, cake!"
"What do you want, an award?"
"Shut up."
Tiffany wheezed as Gema grumbled and picked up her little cake. They had spent all day in the kitchen working on a cake for Clarissa. She was coming to visit them from her planet and Gema had remembered that she loved cute things. So, she decided to try her hand at making her a small little Heaven and Hell chocolate cake. Tiffany was no help either. She walked around the kitchen cracking jokes and getting in Gema's way. She didn't mind though.
Tiffany helped her place the cake on the counter and went to go ask Haylee for decorations. That gave Gema some time alone to carve the cake.
She cut the cake into three layers, putting frosting between each one. Putting frosting all over the surface of the cake was a bit harder though. In the end, the cake was... well... still in place to say the least. Tiffany walked back in with an armful of decorations and stopped in her tracks.
"Oh... well, it- it's something," she laughed.
Gema frowned at her.
"Just help me get the decorations on."
"Okay."
They set away putting tiny angels and halos all over the right side of the cake. Tiffany placed tiny devils with pitchforks and fire along the left side while Gema sprinkled some sugar and edible glitter over the Heaven portion. This piqued Tiffany's interest.
"Can we put some on the Hell side too," Tiffany asked.
"What for?"
"The devils want to be glittery and..shit."
"No."
"Why not?!"
"Because I said so."
Tiffany pouted a bit. She got an idea. She grabbed the bag from Gema's hand.
"Tiff! Give me the glitter!" Gema lunged for the bag.
"No! My demon babies want to be glittery! Let them be glittery!" Tiffany backed away.
"No! Tiffany, let go!"
"You let go!"
They struggled and fought over the bag of glitter. At this point, Brianna and Haylee passed the doorway. They stopped and peered back in.
"What's going on here," Brianna asked.
"Tiffany won't give the glitter back!" Gema pulled harder on the bag of glitter, but Tiffany pulled back.
Haylee and Brianna observed this go on for some time.
"Um, you guys are gonna break that-"
As if by coincidence, glitter went flying all over the cake, counter, floor, and the women. Gema stood there, looking over at her friends and the mess.
No one spoke.
"Well." Gema set her hands on her hips and stood there.
"I am so fucking done with you guys and this shit," Haylee grumbled, storming off.
Brianna and Tiffany laughed while cleaning glitter off each other. Gema sighed and looked at the cake. She silently prayed that Clarissa liked glittery demons.
