The next day, Emily and I sat all day in the living room on YouTube on our tv. We watched a little bit of Connor Franta, Troye Sivan, Caspar Lee, Zoella and especially Thatcher Joe. I also had my laptop open on my email, refreshing every 5 minutes. Finally, I got a notification that Joe had uploaded a new video.
"EMILY, TURN ON JOE'S NEW VIDEO!" I yelled.
"Okay, geez. I'm right next to you, no need to yell." She said as she loaded the new video on the screen.
"Hello everyone!" Joe began.
"Hi Joe" I said, excitedly waving at the tv.
"Whoa, calm down, Becca." Emily said, patting my knee to help me calm down.
"If you watched my last video, I was giving away two VidCon tickets, that now have been upgraded to VIP tickets. All you had to do was send me a drawing of how big of a Sugglet you are. I received hundreds of entries, but only one person can win."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that already mooooove oooooon!" I yelled at the tv. I could sense that Emily gave me a look, but I paid no attention to it.
"I've just sent the email. So everyone, get your email open!" I haven't refreshed it in a while. I reloaded my page, and as my email opened, I heard:
"Congratulations, Rebecca M. for winning the contest! And I'll see you at VidCon! But I'll see everyone next time for another Sugg Sunday Special!" And the video turned off. Emily and I stared blankly at the tv.
"Well! Open the email!" Emily yelled.
"I know, I know!" I yelled back. I clicked the newest email I had gotten, and read it aloud.
"'Dear Ms. Mullins,
I was thoroughly impressed with your drawing! Others had thought of the same idea, I must admit, but yours was just amazing! Your precision with details was better than anyone I've ever seen! And your letter was very...intriguing.'"
"He liked it!" I said, excitedly.
"Yes I know, keep reading!" Emily said back, impatiently.
"Okay, okay!" I replied. "Uhhh where was I... Oh yeah! 'As I said in my video, the tickets had been upgraded to VIP tickets. This means that you are allowed to still interview one Youtuber of your choice in the convention center, but also, you get to meet all the youtubers and hang out with them backstage of the performance. And also, you and Ms. Pickett will have seats next to me and Zoe as well.
VidCon is this Friday, at the convention center, and I expect for you to be there at 7:00 am sharp.
