Thirty minutes in, they finally sent a detective to talk to her "I thought I would never get to leave after sitting here for eternity" she joked to lighten the mood up a bit.

"Of course they will send me to talk to you, how are you doing Ellie?"

"Detective Kim Namjoon is bad enough I have to see you around the house..." rolling her eyes. He puts the files on the desk and leans back in his chair for more comfort. "Now, tell me what happened before you even saw the ear?"

"Nothing, I was walking home from work like I normally do, then when I saw the police lights in the air... I went to go and check it out. The body was laying there, still fresh. It grossed me out when the officer went to search it. I rushed to the trashcan and puke... that's when I saw the earring, but the ear was still attached to it"

"You didn't see anything else? Nothing suspicious?" Namjoon said as he wrote the details in a notebook.

"No, that was it. I didn't see anybody around during that time. Are we done here?"

Namjoon chuckled while shaking his head at her words "Listen, I know you are tired and everything but I will make it up to you... how about dinner tomorrow?" he leans in closer to Ellie.

"Not in public Namjoon..." you can see her turn red with embarrassment. When leaning her chair back, a 'thump' was heard throughout the room. "Ow~" Ellie said as she rubs her back.

"Are you okay Ells?"

Before saying something, a person lifts her back up in the chair. "That sounded like it hurt... hope you didn't get injured" the stranger said with a blank stare.

"Yea-yeah I'm fine"

Namjoon gave him the death stare as he walked away from the desk. That was very creepy and uncomfortable, the way he stared at Ellie while helping made her feel dead inside. "You want a ride home? I don't mind taking you, Ellie?"

"Thanks, Namjoon, that would be nice" Ellie still felt awkward after that encounter. Once they were done with the interview, Namjoon escorted her to his car.

"Interesting night huh?" Namjoon asked as he started the car.

"You have no idea Joon.... dealing with electrical problems at work and now this. This is too much in one day"

"I can make it better, you know"

"Sure you can Joon... when? You say that all the time but never committed to it" Ellie looked out the window. Breathing on it, she drew a heart "You better keep this promise though, I deserve this dinner"

"You deserve the world Ellie"

"Then give me the world Joon, if you can do that then I wouldn't bother you about dates all the time" she pouted cutely.

Chucking, he drove away to drop off Ellie at the house. Kim Namjoon works for the police detective agency in Seoul. He moved in with Ellie after losing his house due to high rent. Since he moved in, he had eyes on Ellie. Too nervous to ask her out, he simply left a note talking about his feelings.

Swoon by the affection, Ellie gave him a chance and now they are a thing... but it's a secret. When driving up to the house, the car got quite all of sudden. "You okay to walk in by yourself?" Namjoon asked worryingly.

"I will be fine, you need to go back to work right?"

"I do have time to walk you in unless you are scared" he said in a mocking tone. But Ellie's face didn't crack a smile, she crossed her arms in fear. "It's not a joking matter Joon, a woman was killed right over there... of course am scared"
