Glimmer (District 2)
I pull on a gorgeous blue dress for the reaping.
“I love your dress." My mom says.
“Thanks." I say.
“I am sure Ellinor will not get reaped."
"Yeah. Sure." I respond.
I open the small orange door and step out into the frigid morning air. I walk down the long dirt paths towards the square. The dirt changes to hard rock as I near the most populated, and 2nd wealthy area. I live in the Dirt part. There are 5 parts of district two. The areas are, The wealthy, The dirt, The square, Victors, and the poor. I am wealthy but, I am not happy living in the wealthy area so my family lives in the Dirt area. As I near the square, I enter the square part which is most very very very wealthy people live there. The escort Elen Cout was wearing a bright blue coat. This year she decided to be bright blue. Even her hair!
"Now that everyone is here, let's start!" Elen says.
She sticks her hand in the bowl and pulls out a slip.
"Glimmer Quinn, and Cato Fire!"
