Glimmer

I sit down in the bright pink chair and admire the food. A turkey, energy bars, Mac & cheese, ice cream, all the food a girl could need! I grabbed for the Mac & cheese and dumped some on my plate.

"Wait girl." A tall man says. "We wait until your fellow tribute has sat down."

I looked at the chocolate and grabbed a piece. I stuffed it in my mouth and chewed. Enjoying the sweet milky taste. I roll it around in my mouth.

"Did you eat???" The man says.

I gulp the chocolate down forgetting the taste. "No." I say.

"Go to your room! Your food will be bring later." He says.

I slowly trod back to my room. Then I stop.

"Pilae?" I ask.

"What?" He sniffs.

"I need to eat! HELP me."

"Hey, can Glim eat?" He calls.

I scowl. "Don't, call me Glim."

"Sure." A sweet voice says.

I returned a.d see the man fighting with De, the escort.

"She ate!"

"What a big problem with you!" De says.

"You- OH. Your back."

"What?" De says confused.

"You don't have the-" He says standing up.

"Stop! Let the girl eat."

He grumbled a.s sat down.

"Sorry about Mart." De says apologetically.

"Yeah." I say distantly while grabbing more chocolate.

"Where did you get this stuff?" Pilae asks.

"Oh, just capitol food." De says and smiles.

"All this?" Pilae says astounded.

"And you never share a piece!" I yell at De.

"Now. Now. We share it with our tributes." De says politely.

"And then kill them." I mumbled.

"What was that, child?" De asks.

"Nothing." I say.

"Then maybe you'll leave." De says.

I cursed.

"YOUNG LADY! Those are NOT words we use!" De says angrily.

"Too bad!" I yell.

"How much longer?" Pilae asks quietly.

"Ooh! Almost there." De says.

"Why? You don't have to put up with me?" I sneered.
