Jeff and Vinny come in after what feels like forever, and I carefully hug them both. They both look disheveled and tired, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who got any sleep at all.
"Hope is fine," I tell them. "She loves kicking my kidney, though."
Jeff smiles a little. "I'm glad that she's okay too."
"Yeah, but what about ... you know."
"The suits? Yeah, they're here," Vinny says. "What are you going to tell them?"
"What did you say?"
"It was a guy we were trying to help out by hitching him a ride," Jeff whispers.
I nod. "I can work with that."
"Well, how are you feeling?" Vinny asks.
"Like I was shot in the chest."
They exchange looks and I try not to look at them. They did what they thought was best. Even though I've not seen a doctor at all during my pregnancy, and I also have a demon for a fiance, was shot in the chest by an undead nightmare guy controlled by Slenderman ...
But yeah, take me to the fucking human hospital.
Great idea. Thinking with their smaller heads, I think.
"Miss y/n?"
"Yes?"
I look up as two men walk into the room, both in suits. Luckily, neither is bald. And they have faces. So, I guess that's a bonus.
"Mind if we talk about what happened?"
"Knock yourselves out."

It's gonna be rough writing about Habby-Stabby getting hurt. I don't know, I just adore him. Like we all do, but you know what I'm talking about.
So, who else is ready for winter to end? I am! I've fallen four times this winter, and I have to walk with a cane. Let me remind you that I am almost 21.
