As the school day dragged on, Rebel and I just goofed off in our last class of the day–Science. It wasn't that I hated science or anything, it's just that starting today we were learning about the sound. And I don't have to say much more because I think you know the problem.
When Mrs. Cooper announced that we were learning sound, I didn't have to look around the room to know people were scoffing... because of me. It took Mrs. Cooper a while to realize the situation with everyone laughing until her eyes landed on me.
I could see the look of shock and empathy on her face, but I could see the humor in her eyes. Need less to say, I don't care for Mrs. Cooper that much. I just sarcastically smiled back at her and before you knew it, Rebel and I were completely off the topic of sound.
When the bell finally rang, Rebel alerted me of its presence and we were out the door. We rounded the corner of the school building where we were soon greeted by Aiden scolding his sister for being around Tommy in the first place.
Sam kept trying to justify that her and Tommy love each other, and Emily and Aiden kept trying to tell her that he's a player.
Sam's face got so red from anger that when she finally saw Rebel and I, the first thing that left her mouth was, "I bet Riley can back up my statement. Tommy loves me," she paused and looked at me with hopeful watery eyes, "He loves me right?"
I felt my eyes drop with sadness as I slowly shook my head no. Upon my confirmation, Sam lost it. She cried so hard and started screaming that she ruined her life.
Sam was hysterical and I just looked at Emily before slowly approaching Sam.
"Did you take a test yet," I signed to her.
She shook her head no before saying back, "I can't afford it. I don't have a job to pay for one."
Emily walked up to us and said, "Then I'll pay for one! My dickhead brother got you in this situation and we'll fix it somehow."
I looked at Em, and Em looked at me, then I signed, "Do you wanna have a girls night."
Sam violently wiped her tears away before hugging herself and saying, "Please?"
All three of us looked at the eldest Anderson sibling who looked beyond stressed out. Aiden looked at poor Rebel, whom has yet to speak a word.
Rebel just shrugged and said, "I don't see the problem with Sam needing the support."
Aiden closed his eyes and sighed, "Please try to be home by at least eleven."
Sam vigorously nodded her head. Emily lead the way to her car and we all hoped in. Me in the back and Sam and Em in the front. Emily started up her car and pulled out a cord from her glove compartment.
"Sam, you get the aux cord," Em said.
Sam immediately grabbed the cord from Emily and plugged her phone in. Emily turned the volume up as loud as necessary for me to feel the vibrations, and Sam turned on a song called Bulletproof by La Roux.
As we started to drive to our nearest Walmart, the two lovely dorks in front of me started screaming the lyrics to the song and I just sat in the back giggling at their weirdness.
Once we were finally parked, we rushed inside and grabbed three pregnancy tests and a case of water. When we're paying for our stuff, the boy checking our stuff out looked weirdly at Emily while she was paying for them.
"What? You never heard of a non sexually active girl missing her period? Have you ever heard of the virgin marry," Emily asked the boy, and his face immediately turned red from embarrassment.
Sam and I both tried to contain our laughter, but couldn't help it. When we left, the poor boy awkwardly shut down his register and walked away.
While on our way back to my house, Sam had officially downed five waters and was complaining about how she had to pee really bad.
We finally pulled up to my house and Sam was immediately out of the car and running to use my restroom, pregnancy test in hand.
Sam had been in the restroom for maybe ten minutes and Em and I were getting my moms nail polish ready, and some of her makeup... that of what would look good on us.
Sam came running out of the restroom with the biggest smile on her face and screamed, "All test were negative!"
Em shouted with glee and I just clapped loudly. All of us took a spot on my couch and started painting each other's nails. I wasn't one for makeup or getting dressed fancy like for the simple fact that I was lazy, but I always loved to paint my nails.
Emily went with black nail polish, I went with a ruby red and Sam went with a light purple.
Once our nails were done, Em and Sam started putting on makeup. Em sporting her normal black rimmed eyes with mascara and naturally thick and fluffy eyebrows. Sam did what she called a cat eye, and nude eyeliner with black mascara to make her blue eyes pop. I just went simple and out on my favorite true red lipstick my mom owned.
Once we were all done with our makeup, Em suggested that we go out and see a movie. I got excited at the thought of a movie and started looking up movies that came out. The only movie I could find that had our interest was Ralph Breaks the Internet.
We all headed to Emily's car and took off to the theater. We paid for tickets and while in line waiting to order a large popcorn, I felt someone poke my sides. I had an immediate response to turn around and hit whomever touched me, only to see the face of my new fellow friend Dillon. He laughed at my response and questioned why I came to see a movie if I couldn't hear it.
I informed him that what he said was offensive and that deaf people just simply learn to enjoy the visuals. He looked at me confused and that's when I realized that I signed to him instead of speaking through my phone.
I just looked away embarrassed, but to my surprise Dillon said, "I only picked up on 'offensive' and 'visuals'."
Now it was my turn to look at him confused. He just smirked before proudly stating, "I've been learning."
I was going to tell him that I'm proud but Sam cut me off, "Oh darling, we've got to go. The movie will start any–Oh hey Dillon," Dillon just nodded with a slight smirk.
Sam looked between the two of us and said, "You know what, Emily and I will meet you in there." With that being said she walked away.
I looked back at Dillon and tried to slowly question why he was here.
"I'm not entirely sure what you said, but I'm assuming it has to do with why I'm here. Well only between you and me, I'm secretly kind of soft when it comes to Disney movies. And that new Ralph Breaks the Internet just came out," he said. I just smiled and did anything I could to imply that I was seeing it too.
To my luck he got what I was saying and said, "Well... then let's go see it."
