I followed Dillon into the hallway and waited for what he had to tell me. Dillon just looked at me, so I raised my eyebrows for him to realize I was waiting for him to speak.
"Ah, yes," he started, "I wanted to apologize. I was rude, and I shouldn't have been. I shouldn't have blamed you," I just looked at him... after all I couldn't speak without my phone.
I nodded and he proceeded, "And I saw the way you looked at that Rottweiler puppy," he paused opening his jacket to reveal a puppy with the sweetest doe eyes.
I pointed to myself asking if it was for me.
"Yes," Dillon said while nodding.
I grabbed the dog from Dillon's arms and held the precious life in my hands.
I looked at Dillon with my eyes watering a bit at my surprise.
"You like him," Dillon asked. I nodded and looked back down at the puppy before mouthing, 'how?'
"How what? How I got him, or how I got him in school," I signed the number two indicating I meant the second one. "I told the principal that you were feeling down yesterday so I got you a present. He doesn't believe me because I don't just randomly do nice things."
I squinted my eyes at Dillon, but signed 'thank you'.
Dillion looked at me questionably before saying, "You don't like him, do you?"
I looked at him with a face that said 'I have no way to tell you what I want to say.'
"You know what tell me what you're thinking later. I have somewhere to be," he stated seeming grumpier than before and stalking off.
This boy is very confusing and I've never been so lost in my life. I'm determined to find out what's up with that boy.
I walked back into the classroom and Rebel walked up to me taking the puppy out of my hands.
"Cute. Who knew Dillon was a softy for dogs," Rebel said with a humorous grin.
I just rolled my eyes and signed, "He's not, he's a softy for cats."
Rebel just rolled his eyes before saying, "I know. I'm the one that told you that."
Later on that day I walked home with my new Rottweiler puppy and introduced him to my mom.
"Do you have a name for him yet," my mom signed to me petting the dog.
"I was thinking Gander," I signed back.
"That was nice of Rebel to get him for you. I'll have to thank him later," she signed to me.
Yeah, I forgot to mention the part where I never told her it was Dillon who got me the dog, and Rebel is taking full cover for him, thankfully.
I picked up my puppy and walked to my room, and sat him down on the bed.
I grabbed my laptop and logged onto Facebook–aka drama central–and just scrolled through a bunch of Dodo videos.
After about ten minutes I saw that I had received a friend request. The friend request was from none other than the famous Dillon Carter. I stared at the friend request, pondering if I should accept it or not.
I didn't accept it, nor did I delete it... I just decided to close my laptop and just leave it hanging there.
I looked at my new puppy and just started petting him and leaving kisses all over his sweet little face. I watched as he tried to play with me in excitement.
Both my puppy and I eventually got tired and fell asleep on the floor. I slept for about an hour when I noticed what appeared to be pebbles being thrown at my window.
