Watching the movie with Dillon and two of my lovely friends was beyond awkward. During most of the movie Emily and Sam were question Dillon and I about our "relationship", which I kept debunking and Dillon jokingly told them that "There is nothing like us."

I wasn't entirely sure if he was implying that we were dating to shut them up or to piss me off but it was working on both ends of the spectrum. And to make matters worse, the conversation continued while leaving the theater.

My face kept heating up with embarrassment because some of the things he said were beyond sweet while others were a bit more seductively concerning.

"Okay, now what is the most physically attractive thing about Riley in your opinion," Emily asked very giddy.

Dillon just sighed with an awkward smirk before saying, "A strong tie between her eyes and her lips."

Upon him saying those words, my face was immediately as red as a lobster. In response, the three laughed at my face, and I just hit Dillon in the arm to tell him to shut up.

I regret hitting his arm for he immediately flinched away. Why do I have to be stupid and forgetful about his situation in life. I apologized as quickly as I could, to which he just shrugged.

"Well Dillon, it was lovely actually hanging out with you. You're not as vile as people make you out to be," Emily said.

We all waved goodbye, but Dillon stopped us, "Is it okay if I steal Riley from you guys?"

Emily and Sam gave each other wide eyed looks before turning back to him.

"Take her," Emily was surprisingly quick to say. "Take her now!"

I gave Emily one of my 'I'm-gonna-kill-you' looks before being dragged away.

On our way out of the theater. Dillon put his hoodie around me with the hood up and said, "It's supposed to rain."

I just stared at him confused. "I didn't drive here, I walked," he answered my question before I could ask.

We walked in silence–well... him in silence, me just obviously unspoken–before we had to take off running for the rain had caught us. We made shelter in a near by pizza shop.

"I'm starving. You wanna order two slices of pizza," Dillon asked me. I just nodded in response.

We walked up to the register and the girl at the counter greeted us with a semi-real, semi-fake smile. I don't blame her for looking slightly annoyed, after all she probably deals with jerks all day.

"How can I help you guys today," she asked us.

"Just two cheese pizza's," Dillon said.

"Alrighty, that'll come to $5.73."

I went to sit at any clean booth I could find and just patiently wait for Dillon and our pizza's. He finally came over, handing me my slice and immediately eating his. We just sat in an awkward silence watching each other eat.

"You're quiet," I signed to him. He just shrugged nonchalantly in response.

I raised my eyebrow at him hoping for some type of explanation only for him to turn his face towards the window, to his hands, and back to the window. He seemed a bit fidgety, but I wasn't going to bring that to his attention.

I followed his lead and looked out the window as well. I could feel him turn his eyes towards me, but chose to ignore it for I didn't want to be embarrassed from an awkward stare down.

He reached across the table and slightly nudged my hand to gain my attention. Once my eyes met his face, he just simply asked, "Have you ever been ice skating before?"
