Robb's frown hardened as he finished reading the letter, Alynna had tried to sound fairly okay, even comical by the end of it, meaning plainly that she was not okay. Although they were far apart, he knew Alynna, as most twins do. Being home again would lessen that, she would overcome the grief of losing a friend, not a lover as Alynna disclosed years ago. Robb had hidden the dull ache of her absence long enough, it was time to see his sister.

'What's that you've got there?' asked Theon leaning against the wall of the castle. Robb rolled up the letter before stowing it away. He looked down towards Jon who sat on a stump, sharpening a sword. He looked up to see a gleam in Robb's eyes that hadn't been there before reading whatever the raven sent.

'She's coming.' said Robb, confidence washed over him as his eyes lingered on the entrance to the gates of Winterfell. Theon's upper lip curled in disdain, he remembered what she looked like, all scrawny and timid, he loathed the bond between her and Robb. The way Robb would take her side in every matter and her general looks of enmity. She even liked the bastard's company more than his, a high-born, that settled the matter enough in Theon's eyes.

Hearing the excited tones of his younger siblings and then being joined by his father and Maester Luwin, Robb ushered himself forward.

'If the rumours are true, Tobias Baratheon would rather fuck squires than her,' muttered Theon with a sneer, far from Robb's ears. Jon shoved past him, almost knocking him to the ground, his hands in fists as his shoulder made contact with Theon whose jaw clenched as the bastard left him behind.

Catelyn Stark smiled as she watched her children outside, their family would finally be whole again. She grew concerned for the reason of Alynna's return, she alone knew the pain with having been robbed of her betrothed. Would she still be the same Alynna that had left Winterfell? She would almost be a woman grown now, Robb was already starting to look like the man he would become, what say of his twin?

'She's coming now!' said Bran, giddy with excitement.

'Who?' asked a small voice.

'Our sister, Alynna,' said Sansa in a matter-fact-tone, 'You've never met her,' she shook her head at Rickon who continued to look puzzled. She was looking forward to seeing her sister again, Alynna, so far away from home still managed to send ravens filled with songs and poems only Sansa could appreciate and love. Bran, being quite young when she left, still remembered her fondly, the older sister who had become like a second mother, picking him up and spinning him about, giving him wooden knights and soldiers to play with. However, he only remembered the skinny girl, not much taller than he was right now, pale and with mousy brown hair.
