Before I start this chapter I would just like to say thank you for over 1000 reads on this book. I would also like to say thanks to some new people voting and commenting. It really means a lot.

He had just arrived in the lush and prosperous land of Kalos. It was the most beautiful day to mark the new season for the Kalos league. With the chirps of fletchling, and sights of young trainers with big smiles plus small pre-evolved starter pokemon, it was game on. This was where he was going to start his first league journey, not in his hometown, but in a different town and region altogether.
He straightened his favourite, and only, bright orange tie and then looked down at his own, small, pre-evolved starter pokemon, only it wasn't native to the Kalos region. He smiled. This was where it was going to happen, he thought, while putting his right hand over the pocket holding his notepad. All the memories he was going to make, all the pokemon he was going to catch. He was going to record it all down in this one book.
All the thinking made him build up all his excitement for the coming league he was sure to enter. But first he had a task in this vast city, a certain tournament. It would be his first experience of battling against other trainers, and with one.
"I know Steven said I would know this person, but why have me, an inexperienced battler, battle with them, especially if they have as big a reputation as he says they do." Sawyer said, thinking.
"Look, Sawyer I want you to be great. You have the knowledge about pokemon, you have showed great strategy in type advantage and moves, you have the foundations every great trainer needs. This will be a test of how great you can become." Steven Stone said to Sawyer as he handed him his graduation certificate.
Sawyer marvelled at the sight of his achievement physically in his hand and all the kind words from Steven, the champion, himself.
"Don't forget this," Steven said while handing Sawyer a pokeball with his usual and casual smile.
Sawyer looked at the new pokeball in delight and was now too shocked to move. After every class, every battle watched, every lecture from Steven, Sawyer would now be ready for his journey.
Sawyer muttered the strength to say, "Thank you," to Steven in the most sincere and appreciated way possible.
"Tree, treecko!" His first pokemon said, reassuring him as it sensed the nerves and brought him back to the present. Sawyer looked down at the pokeball he had just grabbed off his belt, remembering his fond memories of all the kind words Steven gave to him. He smiled. Tears came to his eyes, but he swiftly wiped them away.
"You're right treecko, there is no need to dwell on letting this person down, we will do our best, that is all we can do," Sawyer muttered the last six words under his breath, it saddened him to know that they were true, as much as he didn't want to believe them.

"I can't BELIEVE THIS!" Ash exclaimed with much anger evident in his voice as soon as he heard exactly what he was being forced into.
"Ash, look I-" Scott was saying until he got cut off by Ash.
"You mean professor Oak was behind this AGAIN. What does that old git want from me! I don't want any of this! I never wanted any of this!" Ash shouted, blurting out what came to mind.
