"Pikachu!" Ash called out. Ash was in his trainer box and Pikachu was in his usual spot on the battlefield. Ash could only watch as a massive ball of flaming hot fire shot towards Pikachu.
"No! Pikachu!" Ash cried out as the ball struck his best friend, sending him flying past Ash and into the hard wall behind. Ash turned only to see his buddy motionless on the ground, nothing left to give.
The sight brought a tear to Ash's eyes. The thought of not being able to help him, knowing how much pain Pikachu must be in and not being able to ease it. Ash dropped to his knees helplessly, his head dropped and his heart sunk with it.
"Pika!Pika!" A faint voice called out, but Ash didn't move a muscle.
"PIKA!" The voice got louder as Ash seemingly fell asleep...
"Huh! Pikachu!? Are you alright? Are you okay? Thank Arceus it was just a dream!" Ash said all in quick succession with a once concerned Pikachu becoming a now surprised Pokemon.
"I'm gonna take a walk. You coming?" Ash said in a very tired and annoyed state.
"Pika." Pikachu answered while nodding his head.
Ash and Pikachu strolled round Lumiose city at night. The city still very much awake just like Ash. Cars still fighting their way through traffic with people and Pokemon rushing to not miss a deadline.
Ash focused on the sounds of the city. The roars of the car engines, the speech of people calling out to each other across the street and Pokemon crying out their names. Time became irrelevant, Ash thought back to that dream. Pikachu getting clattered in one move. One move that seemed so powerful. One move that felt unstoppable. For Ash there was only one solution...
Special training.
"Come on, Pikachu. We're heading to the Pokemon centre." Ash said with passion that shared with Pikachu.
"Pika!" Pikachu understood and formed a fist, showing his understanding and readiness to get stronger.
Meanwhile, Sawyer had just finished his data collection on Z-moves. "The bottom line is Z-moves can only be used once as they take all the energy from the trainer and convert that with a lot of energy from the Pokemon into one powerful move.
"Treeeckooo." Treecko said in a low and tired voice as Sawyer had stayed up late to do some researching on Z-moves.
"BAG!" Bagon screamed loudly as it jumped in the way of a sphere of water that was propelled towards Treecko. Bagon blocked it with its hard head, not feeling the water pulse one bit.
"Huh?!" Sawyer blurted in shock that a Pokemon would attack them in one of the lab's research rooms. "Watch it! There are a bunch of expensive equipment in here!" Sawyer said.
The blue and white frog-like Pokemon looked at Sawyer with a stern expression, shrugged its shoulders and created multiple copies of itself around the room.
"Prepare yourselves!" Sawyer shouted as Bagon and Treecko watched closely.
"Fro!" The blue and white Pokemon jumped off the floor and sprayed numerous amounts of tiny bubbles towards Bagon and Treecko.
