The temperature of Heaven was too comfortable to be true; warm but not too warm, cool but to an extent where anyone could feel comfortable. The brightness was the same, as it was bright, but didn't hurt the eye.
It was perfect. Or that's what V thought, at least.
Or was perfect, until his brother Jin poked him in the shoulder, disrupting his perfect moment of daydreams.
"V, I finally have a task for you!" Jin was practically jumping up and down, ecstatic for the news he was about to deliver. V turned around to face his broad-shouldered hyung in slight annoyance but smiled nevertheless. He loved his brother too much to be mad over such a small thing.
"Really?" V said, faking his enthusiasm. He'd heard of the tales of earth, mostly from his brother and his fellow angel friends, who had all been to earth to guide at least one person. He was the only one who had never been to earth, nor had any interest in the planet.
Unlike his friends, V didn't like earthlings very much. They were very chaotic, always wreaking havoc and destroying peace. It seemed like a horrible place to live in, where their own species would choose to kill each other over living in harmony.
V shuddered. He always dreaded having to do his duty and was quite content with the fact that he got to stay in heaven for so long without any tasks, until now.
"Yes! I've just received their profile," Jin gushed, his bright wings fluttering around in excitement, causing gusts of wind to blow in V's face.
"His name is Jeon Jungkook," Jin read aloud once he had opened the files made of silk. Jin's eyebrows furrowed as he read on. "He is also classified as an extremely help needed person."
V's eyes widened at the statement. Going to the earth itself was scary enough, but now he had to help an extremely troubled person? On his first mission? What was heaven thinking?
Jin sensed V's worry, and though he was quite scared for his younger brother himself, he tried to comfort him. "Don't worry so much, V-ah," Jin comforted, patting the yellow-haired boy on his shoulder. "I'm sure you'll do just fine."
Seeing as V didn't respond, Jin hurried to distract him. "Would you like to see how..." Jin checked the person's name on the file again, "...Jungkook looks?" Jin beamed at V, hoping for a positive response.
To be honest, the mere thought of traveling to earth made V want to scream and run away, but he knew better than to do that and damage his brother's pride. "Sure!" V faked a smile for Jin and was relieved to see that the older angel didn't see through it.
"Great, let's go!" Jin dragged V up, and V unraveled his wings.
Strangely enough, V's wings were a midnight black, changing to a mystic blue under very strong lighting. His wings were beautiful, but that's not what always made so many people notice them.
