Chapter 20// I got a text from Jacob. "Hey meet me in the lobby?" it read. I got up. "I will be right back." I said to Emily. I walked out of the room and to the elevator. When I got in the elevator I saw Taylor. "Uh-oh." I thought. He looked at me. It was just me and him in the elevator. "Which floor are you going on?" He asked me. I hesitated to answer. "Uh um floor 1." I said. He hit the button for floor number 1. An awkward silence filled the air. "So... How are thing with you. I mean ever since Em broke up with you?" I asked. He looked at me mad. "I lost someone who meant the world to me for a nobody." He said. "I mean where did I mess up?!" He said. "Taylor it wasn't you." I said. "She just found somebody else. Not everything is going to go your way in life." I said. I heard crying. I looked over at him and he was in tears. "I loved her Sarah. I want her back." He said. I felt so bad for him so the wrong thing to do would be to watch him cry. I hugged him and said "Taylor everything is going to be okay." I said. "If you still have feelings for her and you still love her, then tell her. I can't promise you that things will go back to the way that they were but it's worth a try." I said. He looked at me. "Thank you Sarah." He said. "Anytime." I said. We stared at each other for a few seconds and he kissed me. I heard a ding. The elevator had stopped. "I- I have to go." I said and ran out of the elevator trying not to look back. My cheeks were red. What just happened.
