"I've been insulted by a ghost, lovely."

"This is the Murder house." I said to the computer screen, waiting for an answer. There hadn't been anything for almost three days, but I needed answers. Even if it meant talking to my computer when no one seemed to be around. I hated not knowing what this was or even if it was real, I'm sure someone, even Landon, would be able to make this look like a ghost haunting our house. I just had to have answers.

"Why are you talking to the computer? You look crazy." Landon said placing the Ouija board next to me for the third time today.

"Because I want answers!"

"......Katy....." The Ouija board stuttered out.

"......Ka....Ka...Katy...."

"What do you think, better?" He asked with a hopeful gleam in his eye.

"I think the board sounds better but why is it breaking up so much?"

"Because when you fix one problem another one always comes along." Landon said with a sigh running his hand through his short blonde hair in frustration with the wooden object. He had always been fixing technical problems, even when he was young. He had a proclivity for electronics that just drew him to fix and learn about them.

"Is that why I can't find answers about this house?" I had been searching for information for the past three days and turned up with nothing. There was no information on the house, the location and very little about the town itself.

"Why not just use the ouija board?" He laughed, joking with me.

"You're crazy if you think I'll use that." I said sternly, but the thought had actually occurred to me a few times. Although, then that would mean whoever I was dealing with could actually be here and died horribly.

"Fine I'll use it on my own." He placed his fingers lightly on the planchete and took a deep breath, relaxing his ridgid body. "If anyone is able-"

"Stop!! You never say that!" I yelled, interupting him mid-sentence.

"Why not?"

"Because then any spirit can come in! And if it's evil than we're screwed because of you!" I said with venom in my words.

"You can always say good bye." He said moving the planchete slowly to 'good bye' on the board. That is before it stopped on its way, not moving from Landon's attempts to dislodge it from the position it rested in.

"See what you started? It doesn't want to say good bye!"

"Then you help me." I reluctantly put my hands on the planchete and groaned as I felt a sudden push causing the planchete to move.

H-I

"At least he's polite..." Landon said, trying to make it positive after his blunder and determination to undermine the actual research I had done and the knowledge I had.

"What's your name?" I asked, feeling my voice catch in my throat for a period of time. At a slow, aganizing pace the planchete started to move.

J-A-M-E-S

"Hey Katy isn't that your friend?"

"Yeah, he used to live here when he was.... alive." I said as the planchete continued to move through my speech, completely ignoring what I had been saying.

N-O-N-O-T-F-R-I-E-N-D

"I've been insulted by a ghost, lovely." I said, letting my words ooze sarcasm.

"Well for not being your friend, he wants to protect you." The planchete started to move again, faster than before but still a slow pace.

B-R-O-T-H-E-R

"Who's brother?" I asked.

There was no answer for a while, until a slight movement started to push the planchett along toward the letters.

Y-O-----

Landon took his hands off the planchete, causing it to spin around the board uncontrollably without a hold on it. It spun off the board and landed with a loud clank on the floor.

"What did you do that for?" I yelled, picking it up and trying to start the connection again.

"Sorry, I didn't think."

"Great, I could have actually gotten answers." I circled the planchete on the board, waiting for the spirit of James to take control of it again -- it never happened. "I'm going to see it I can get him to talk through the computer again."

"Why would you want to do that?"

"So I can have answers!"

"You're obessed with answers..." Landon said, taking the board and the planchete into the work room so he could hope to repair it for good.

I sat at my computer for the rest of the day, with no answer or 'dings' from my friendly ghost. After the house was shut down for the day, I went striaght to bed. Every thing in my room was still covered, locked and blocked, following the same feeling of being watched.

"Good night Anna!" I heard Landon yell from down the hall, too lazy to leave his room and just come say it to me. "Don't let the Murder House get you!" I shook my head, nothing in this house ever scared me, I knew it was all fake -- until now at least. I changed into my pajamas and went to brush my teeth when I heard it.

Breathing, getting closer and closer to me. All the hair on the bcak of my neck stood up as I quickened my pace to the bathroom. My senses felt hieghtened, as the breathing still got closer to me.

I slammed the door shut when I made it into the bathroom and flicked on the lights. I never heard footsteps, only the breathing that had followed me pass by. I could feel my heart pumping in my chest, like it was going to burst out of my chest.

The breathing stopped outside the door, before trying to turn the door knob. I locked the door as fast as I could, and released a breath that I wasn't aware I was holding in. There was a loud bang on the door before the breathing completely stopped leaving nothing but silence around me as I tried to regain composture.

"There's nothing there. You're over reacting." I said trying to calm myself.

I was able to wash my face and brush my teeth before my heart rate finally went back to normal. Although, every little noise had me nearly jumping out of my skin in fear that whatever was following me down the hall had come back to scare me again. It didn't help when the lights shut off completely and I was left in a dark room.

I lit a candel before trying to leave the room, but the door was jammed shut from the other side of the door. There was a girlish giggle from behind me; catching my breath in my throat as I let it settle before silence wrapped around me.

There was another giggle, then she started singing.

"Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Blood Mary....." I turned to see a girl in a white dress coated in blood, long blood soaked hair  staring at me. A screamed ripped through my throat in fear.
