Chapter 8

Ashe's p.o.v: "Aaaaaaaaahhh" I screamed as the creature flew off holding me. It's talons dug into my sides stabbing me in the ribs. I Needed to escape but i couldn't burn the thing while it was still carrying me,after all if it dropped me from this height I would splatter on the ground like a chunky water balloon. I had to think of something which was hard since my ribs were being stabbed into. The creature was flying over the woods when i saw this huge tree that was taller than the others.
It would be hard to pull off but thid was my only chance to escape this creature before it brought me to a nest or something. I grabbed the things ankles and burnt them so it let me go (which hurt like a bitch) and it made some grotesque noise which i think was it screaming in pain.
I fell onto the tree and grabbed a branch before falling to my death but i was caught off guard when i saw the creature fly in my direction once more. I swung off and kicked it in the face then i grabbed another branch to avoid the creature and i repeatedly swung to different one while slowly climbing down to get to the ground. But the creature must have saw my pattern because he flew in the opposite direction catching me off guard. "Oh shit" i thought outloud when the winged monster broke the branch i was on causing me ro fall onto another branch and break it,but i managed to catch the branch next to it . The thing flew at me one final time to try to grab me so as it got closed i let go of the branch i was holding so it would crash into the tree.
I saw the thing was stuck into the tree upon crashing so i grabbed the side while i was falling and lit it on fire then kicked off of it to land on a smaller tree breaking my fall.
The whole tree was engulfed in flames within a few seconds and the monster made that grotesque sound again as it was being burnt. Only......the sound it made didn't sound grotesque this time but like a soft melody. It was music to my ears.
The only thing that was more beautiful was seeing my flames engulf the tree in its gorgeous light.

Will's p.o.v: "we should meet up with the others " I told John after hyperventilating from what had just happened.
"Um do you mean like right now? Its pretty late."
"Yeah well this is pretty important."
"Okay okay " he conceded " I 'll text everyone in the group chat to come over " john texted in the group chat telling them what happened. Emma,Amber,and Drake said they were on their way but we didn't get a response from Ashe yet.
"That's weird Ashe didn't respond " John told me which was weird because he would be the first to show up if he thought i was in danger also he wouldn't go to bed this early.
"He tends to stay up pretty late "
"Wait what if he was attacked by a creature too?" John said
Just as he said this we saw an orange glow coming from the forest near by our neighborhood. We looked out the window to see there was a forest fire .
"Ashe " we both said in unison as we got dressed and ran outside to see.
When we got to the opening of the woods Drake ans Amber were already there.
"Hey we saw fire on our way here and figured it might have something to do with the creatures or something." Amber said
"Good call ,Amber call the fire department to put out the flame and Drake you go in to see if Ashe is in there " John driected.
"Who died and made you king ?" Drake argued but John stated that with Drake's armor ability he can avoid getting burned.
"Wait why would Ashe be in there?" Amber asked.
"Well its just a hunch" I responded "but we think the fire was started by Ashe while in a fight with a creature".
"Alright I'll be a hero and save him stand back" Drake mouthed off as he ran into the Forest.

Emma's p.o.v: After getting the text i sneaked out of my room quietly and tiptoed down the hallway.
I stopped at my Dad's room to see 8f he was asleep since if he was awake he would hear me going downstairs but i heard a weird noise from his door.
I figured he fell asleep having sex with that creepy whore so I peaked open his door to see if he was awake.
I was afraid he was still awake and having sex with that gross chick which is not something I wanted to see....but what I saw was much worse.
I peered in to see my dad lying there motionless and the woman peering over him with her arms elbow deep in his torso.
All I could do was scream and run Away.
