Chapter 12

Thursday night,the same night before Delaine's party,there was a disastrous thunderstorm. Everyone was indoors,well everyone with a brain at least,one person was walking the streets tonight. Delanie's ex boyfriend and the infamous school bully Chad corsley was walking around his street angry that he wasn't invited to her party.
It would make sense to not invite your ex to your birthday party but this thought wouldn't and didn't occur to Chad.
After all he's the head of Baywood high's football team. The QB should be invited to every party regardless of whoever's party it is. But he wasn't invited not only due to cheating on and getting dumped by the head cheerleader who was hosting this party but also mostly due to the fact...... no one likes him and there was nothing he could do about it. So all he did was what he did best when he was mad and terrorized some neighborhood kids from the elementary school near by.
Of course when it started to downpour all the kids had gone home but Chad was still angry so he started to attack random objects and animals while walking around sulking. That's when he saw a figure which he thought he was imagining. I mean a creature like what he had seen couldn't be real right? A man made of smoke was an absurd notion that Chad would not entertain.
"Hey who's there standing all creepy!" He Yelled thinking maybe this guy was in a costume playing a trick on him that was the only explanation Chad could conceive. Chad would soon realize that stupidity was the worst and last mistake of the young athletes miserable life.
Will's p.o.v:
So my whole week was consumed by getting ready for this party which seems like I'm not focusing on the right thing. In my defense though we haven't seen any creatures or that pink haired woman at all for like 3 months or so.....I think. I also haven't seen Amber all week. She told me she was was hanging out with Emma since she was upset about Amber going to the party without her which I understood even though I felt like Emma was being too dramatic. After all if Drake went to a party without me for a girl he liked I wouldn't have a problem with it,but friendships for girls are different than guy friendships so I didn't say anything about it.
Anyway I was picking a nice outfit for the party it was just a black tee shirt with black ripped jeans but I stood in front of the mirror and thought I looked pretty cool.
John walked in the room and saw what I was doing "Looking good are you ready to go?"
"Huh? Why are you asking me that you're not coming".
"Rude" he replied
"But I am coming to make sure you stay safe,don't worry I'm not going to embarrass you in front of your little girlfriend."
This took me by surprise since I didn't say anything about Amber. "What? how did you-"
"c'mon it was kinda obvious you're not really a party person" John said cutting me off,which wasn't true btw.  I mean it's not that I wasn't a party person it was the fact I never get invited to them, I can see how John would think this however since I usually spend Friday nights playing video games with Ashe and Drake.
"I would go to more parties if everyone from our school weren't retarded dickheads" John let out a small chuckle which became a full blown laugh. This was a very rare thing to see not just because it was weird but also because John never laughs especially not at one of my jokes (this one wasn't even that funny).
"That's not nice" he said still laughing "Anyway let's go meet the others."
20 minutes later we all met at the Denny's up from the town church,
I saw that Emma showed up with Amber but once Ashe and Drake made it here she left.
Ashe saw that she was leaving which made him reveal a cocky smirk.
I walked over to him and Drake
" Hey Willy "he said genuinely smiling at me but I gave him a sturn look.
"It wasn't nice telling Emma she can't come "
"Sorry Willy but Delaine invited me so I can decide who goes plus she's annoying anyway she'd just ruin the whole night. "
"It still wasn't nice you can at least say sorry later on "
He groaned but saw that I was serious so he promised me after the party he would say sorry. "I despise that girl but you obviously want to be friends with her and the other one so I'll try to get along with her "
"Thanks Ashe why can't you be as nice to everyone as you are to me?"
Ashe was surprised I asked this but then he said "well there not you "
I was confused on what he meant but Drake interrupted our conversation "Hey why are still standing here? Let's go get some babes "
Did he really just say that?
"Shut up Drake say the babes thing again and I'll burn your face off " Ashe retorted which quickly shut him up but I agreed with going to the party even if I didn't agree with the shit Drake says.
"We should go" I told everyone so we all started to walk over to Delanie's house.
The closest route to her house took us into the woods which John thought was a bad idea,but we argued to him that if I monster showed up all of us could easily take care of it. We all finally convinced him after 10 minutes which annoyed Drake who "wanted to get Babes" even though we all knew he wasn't going to score.
After walking in the woods for about 20 minutes we all appeared in front of a big house next to the lake with huge glass windows.
The was a glass balcony where we could see a pool and a bunch of kids from our school dancing with different color lights shining around and music blaring.
"Well let's go in " Drake said with an shitty grin on his face. I rolled my eyes at his pointless excitement and we all walked inside. When we entered the doors we immediately got separated from each other. First Delanie called for Ashe at the top of a huge staircase leading upstairs. He looked annoyed but I told him that he should at least see what she wants so Ashe walked upstairs. "Well the rest of us can still-" before I finished my sentence that's when the rest of us split up. John went to hang out with some friends he recognized who he was surprised to see which made sense due to the fact he was in a higher grade. I looked over for Drake who ran off to hit on some girls and got lost in the crowd.
I first I was bummed that they left me but I was reminded that Amber was still with me when she grabbed my hand. This was unexpected causing me to blush probably looking like an idiot. "C'mon let's dance " she said they pulled me to where everyone was dancing. We started dancing with our peers as flashes of colors that almost gave me a seizure were drowning us which was somewhat overwhelming for me. Not to mention the music was so loud I could feel the beat in my chest,but Amber was still holding my hand and looking into her eyes calmed me down."Hey why did you want to come to this party with me anyway?" I asked her which caught her by surprise since my dumbass randomly said it but she smiled and just said "Why wouldn't I?". "Well I'm not that great " I replied which caused her to tighted her grip and looked me in the eyes. "Don't talk about yourself like that,the reason I wanted to come with you because I could tell you're actually a nice guy".
After her response I felt my cheeks get red again and my heart to skip a beat "H-how can you tell?" "I've been hanging around for a couple months for one but when I first met you I felt this.....light". Light? "Huh what do you mean?" I asked her but a slower song came on that caught her attention.
The song was "God only knows by the Beach boys" which surprised me since I thought all the kids from my school only listened to dubstep.
"I love this song " Amber said which made me realize I didn't know much about her till today "Really?" I replied "Me too".

Ashe's p.o.v: I walked into a room awaited by Delanie who was sitting on a bed wearing a red dress and makeup which surprisingly,went well with her dark hair. "What do you want?" I asked in a demanding tone to show her I wasn't in the mood for bullshit. As expected though she dodged the question and started blabbering "Don't you miss us?" She asked which was a retarded question.
"Why would I afterall you seemed pretty happy when you left me for Chad".
"I thought you got over that"
" I did that's not why I hate you " telling her I hated her outright seemed to surprise and hurt her much to my liking.
"Then why-" She pleaded but I put my pointer finger over her mouth cutting her off. "Do you remember the end of last year? At the pep rally?"
"Yeah what about it?"
"At the time I still liked you even though I could see you swapping salvia with Chad but then.....you played that awful prank on Willy "
"Well if I knew those losers were your friends I wouldn't have done anything to them I swear".
After she said this it took everything in me at that moment to not slap the tatse out from this bitches mouth.
All of a sudden her hair caught on fire which she put out by feriously patting down her head.
"What? But I didn't touch her " I mumbled to myself which Delanie overheard.
"What did you say?" She asked then we both heard a crash from downstairs so we hurried out of the room. We ran to the staircase to see Chad holding two upperclassmen in his hands then tossing them away. "Chad! What are you doing here?!" Delanie yelled bringing his attention to us.
When Chad looked up at us I saw that his eyes were purple then he pointed at me and said that he was looking for me. "Oh are you jealous of Ashe? Well you should be because we're just in my bedroom making sweet love " I didn't bother correcting her because I was more focused on Chad's voice or whatever was wearing Chad's skin. For some reason Chad had two voice his original voice and a strange demonic sounding voice.
"Who are you?" I asked the creature who shot me a wry smile "you're very perceptive for a human,I'm Ytrurgu and I've come on behalf of lady Stella". That's when the thing in Chad's body made a dark violet ball of light appear in his hand then he shot it from the bottom of the stairs.
I grabbed Delanie and jumped outta the way which was smart because it hit the floor and all the kids standing in that spot got blown apart.
"What's happening?"Delanie annoyingly asked me for some reason.
"Shut up and go hide in your room " she opened her mouth to argue but I gave her a "this is serious look" and she got the memo and fucked off.
Then I ran back to the staircase to meet with the body snatcher who was walking up the stairs to greet me. "You're stuck in a predicament Ashe you can't hurt me because of the body I'm in what will you do?" This idiotic statement caused me to laugh to the point of hysterics.
"You're joking right ? How dense are you? I could care less if that pile of flesh and retardation turns to cannon fodder" I retorted "That's where people like him belongs anyway ".

Will's p.o.v: My dance with Amber was cut short do to hearing conflict that had to do with Ashe .
John reunited with us after hearing about it too. "Where's Drake?" He asked.
"I don't know" I responded "Amber can you go find him?"
She nodded and said "I'm on it " running into the crowd.
That's when I could have sworn I heard a loud buzzing noise.
I looked over to John who also shot me a look that he also heard it then as we both turned towards the windows a swarm of monsters flew in. They crashed in and flew on the balcony attacking the guests. "We gotta save them" I said running towards them but I wss stopped by one that got in my way. The creatures looked like dark yellow-green oval squids with spider legs,spiky tendrils,and huge black wasp wings. The thing stared at me with Light blue glowing eyes which froze me in fear then it shot it's tendrils at me and at that very moment I thought that I was going to die. I closed my eyes and thought about the short life I've lived intill now I accepted that I was going to die.
Hopefully Ashe or Drake could avenge my death and kill that creepy chick. If anyone could do it it'd be Ashe . I also thought how much of a bummer I didn't score with Amber but I hoped that she'd live a happy life with Emma. I wasn't sad about dying if I did then I'd be able to join my parents but that's not what happened.
I snapped out of my thoughts as something hard slammed me to the floor. I looked up to that it was John who had pushed me out of the way and was now being carried by the creature's tendrils.
"Will I-" before he could finish his sentence the thing squeezed it's tendrils then ripped John apart with it's razor sharp tendrils causing his limbs to scatter across the room and his head to roll over to me still laying on the floor. John's blood sprayed in the air obscuring my vision and I was left stunned staring at his lifeless head. The next thing I knew I was consumed by a white hot rage.
