Chapter 10

‘Daniel, get up. We have to be at your school in an hour.’ Daniels Mum shouted at him to wake him up.

‘Yes Mum.’ Daniel groaned.

Daniel was dreading the meeting. Yeah, he wanted to be in school but not that school. He already knew his parents wouldn’t let him enrol somewhere else and he knew things weren’t going to get any better at the dump he was already at. He hoped that they would kick him out for good this time. That would leave his parents no other choice than to let him go somewhere else. Daniel rolled over and grabbed his phone.*3 new messages* filled the screen. Daniel quickly looked to see who his messages were from 1 from Beau and 2 from Hannah. 

Beaus message read - Hey Daniel, everything go ok at Hannahs? I’ll pick you up from school when you’ve finished. Talk then :)

Daniel quickly replied to Beau letting him no everything went fine before checking his other messages from Hannah.

The first message from Hannah read - Thanks Daniel for coming to minee earlier. Everything ok at home?xx

The second message read - Guessing you’re still assleep but good luck with your meeting today. Going gym after school with James and the twins. They said you’re going to be there?xx

Daniel just thanked Hannah and reassured her he was going down with Beau after school as well before scrolling through facebook. He didn’t bother getting out of bed straight away. He didn’t see the point as he didn’t want to be early for the meeting. With only 15minutes before they were going to leave Daniel put on his uniform before shoving his books into his bags. He grabbed some food on the way out the door followed by his parents. The journey was short and silent. It was extremely awkward. Thankfully they arrived at Daniels school just in time for the meeting so they didn’t have any awkward tension hanging around.

‘Daniel, this is your last chance. One more fight and you will be looking for another school.’ The principle assured Daniel.

‘Yes!’ Daniel muttered in excitement, luckily nobody heard his remark.

‘You may go to your normal lessons whilst I speak to your parents.’ 

Daniel didn’t say anything after that he just threw his bad over his shoulder and walked out of the office. As he walked through the corridors he could see the people that had once provoked Daniel sitting in their classes. Daniel knew he shouldn’t of started any fights but he couldn’t hold in his anger. Especially when what they were saying wasn’t just about him. They had no respect. How could anyone speak about his best friends like that? It disgusted him.

He remembered he had Maths. He talked to a few people in this class so it wasn’t that bad. Although Daniel hated the subject he figured at least he had people he could mess about with. Daniel took a seat at the back and tried getting out of his work by talking to the people around him. It wasn’t long until he was moved to sit on his own at the back. He got to thinking and became worried about Hannah, James, Jai and Luke. He couldn’t help but think about Jackson starting on them. Daniel may not look like the caring type but he would do anything for his friends. Anything.

Daniel was relieved when the final bell rung and he saw Beau waiting for him across the road. He climbed into the car as Beau began to step off. Daniels school finished just after the others and they were walking over to the gym so Beau was hoping to beat the others there. They all arrived at the same time. Beau was a little annoyed but Beau brushed it aside as they all went and changed. The boys came out after Hannah. She had already started on the treadmill. The boys decided to join her as they asked what happened with her parents. They were happily surprised when they found out how they reacted. 

‘Can we come to the ultra scan too?’ Jai fluttered his eyelashes at Hannah.

‘Well you can come but stay in the waiting room?’ She suggested.

All the boys agreed. Hannah even suggested the boys went back to hers after the ultra scan. Her younger cousins were going to be round as well. The boys agreed. It would be nice to meet her family all the boys thought. 

‘You not tired yet?’ James and Luke moaned at the others who were still working out.

‘Go take some selfies and stop moaning.’ Hannah laughed shoking the boys.

‘How do you know about the selfies?’ They were confused. Hannah was rarely on facebook and she didn’t know much about the Janoskians.

‘I don’t know, probably has something to do with the girls in my History class that never shut up about you. They squeal whenever you post photos on instagram during school.’ She laughed.

‘You stalk us really.’ Luke winked at Hannah trying to be sexual but making everyone laugh.

When eventually was showered and ready to go home everyone got in Beaus car. Hannah and Daniel decided to walk. Hannah was going homeand Daniel wanted to walk her back before going to the Brooks household.

‘How was the meeting?’ Hannah asked.

‘They said it’s my chance. One more fight and I’m out.’ He told her.

‘Ohh, anyone say anything to you today?’

‘Nope, wasn’t really paying attention anyway. What about Jackson? Did he start anything?’

‘Na, none of them were even in school today.’ She laughed as she reached her house.

Daniel hugged her goodbye as he made his way to the Brooks house.
