Unbroken

Chapter 18

'Up here.’ Daniel shouted as he heard the rest of the boys burst through his front door. 

It was 11am. Daniel and Hannah had been at Daniels an hour packing all his clothes and other things he wanted to take to Hannahs. They had almost finished, they hadn’t exactly been folding his clothes neatly. They basically had rushed the whole process, Daniel didn’t want to stay longer than they needed to. James, Jai, Luke and Beau began taking the bags already packed into Beaus car. There were only 3 bin bags full but they were all hoping getting out of packing the last few things. By the time they had made their way back upstairs Hannah and Daniel had finished packing up 4 boxes and were making their way out of his room, each carrying 2 boxes.

‘Thats fine guys, don’t bother helping your pregnant friend carry those 2 boxes.’ Daniel laughed with a hint of seriousness in his voice as the others just watched them. 

The boys all rushed to Hannahs assistance while Daniel made his way to the car. Hannah laughed as the 4 boys argued over who would be carrying the boxes. Daniel came back up the stairs after packing up his 2 boxes. He laughed as he saw Hannah had set the 2 boxes down whist the boys stood their arguing over the boxes. Hannah went to Daniel when she noticed him giggling at the others.

‘Wish I never said anything now.’ He shouted as he grabbed Hannahs hand and took her to the car. 

The boys followed. Beau and Luke carrying a box each with the biggest grins on their faces whilst James and Jai walked behind mimicking them. Hannah sat in  the front with Beau as he rest of the boys squeezed into the back. The ride to Hannahs wasn’t quite, they all belted out the words to Chasing The Sun by The Wanted. Although each of the boys wanted to know more about Daniels situation none of them wanted to bring it up. Luke still had his eye on Daniel. The more he thought about it the more he wanted Hannah to know about Daniels feelings. He knew how much she meant to Daniel and she also knew how much support she was going to need and Daniel was the right guy to be by her side.

‘Mum and Dad won’t be back until about 5.’ Hannah told the boys and they all smirked at her words.

The quickly dumped Daniels stuff into his room before making their way to where Hannah was stood. They began begging her to let them go in her pool.She laughed at their enthusiasm as she told them they could but she didn’t join them. The boys were having to much fun splashing and play fighting with each other that they didn’t realise Hannah go inside as they got into the pool. Daniel was the first to notice. As soon as they couldn’t figure out where she had gone they went inside and began calling her name.

‘In Daniels room.’ She called.

They quickly lept up the stairs to find Hannah sorting out Daniels things. She had made his room look more like his. Instead of a plain, empty room she had spread out his boxing trophies on his chest of draws. Filled the shelves with his xbox games and DVD’s. She had even decorated one of the walls with photos she found in one of the boxes.

‘Woah, Hannah you should of told us you were doing this, we would of helped.’ Daniel said as he pulled her into a hug.

‘It’s fine. I needed time alone to think anyway.’ She smiled.

‘You ok?’ Beau asked for reassurance. He was worried something may of happened.

‘Yeah. Right time to order food and watch a DVD. I fancy Chinese what about you guys?’ Hannah said quickly.

‘Sounds good’ They all agreed.

Hannah left the room first, Jai, James and Luke followed. Daniel stayed in his room looking at all the pictures. A lot of them were from when him and Hannah were close before. Even though they stopped talking he never could throw them away. Beau watched him. 

‘You really like her, don’t you?’ Beau laughed to himself as Daniel sighed.

‘Yeah.’ He replied.

Just then Luke burst in telling them to tell Hannah what they wanted to eat as she was ordering. He had heard Beaus question and Daniels response. He was relieved he was right but he didn’t let them catch on that he knew.
