Lauren wakes up with a lump on her forehead from last night's beating. While writing in her diary she hears little taps at her door. "Who is it".? She asks. "Me"! Keith said. "I don't know anyone by that name, " Lauren said while trying to hold back from giggling. "Just let me in" Keith demanded. While walking in Keith got distracted by Laurens knot. Keith couldn't help but notice the knot on Lauren's forehead, " it's fine, now what do you want annoying." I came to tell you why mom has been extra edgy lately but since I'm annoying I'll keep it to myself" Keith let out. Yeah right like she would tell you anything", Lauren blurted. "Who said anything about her telling me anything don't you know I'm a ninja", Keith said while doing ninja poses. Okay, samurai Keith what did find out? Keith takes a deep breath and directs his sister to sit on the bed. " while getting a snack out the kitchen I overheard mom on the phon-. Lauren interrupts his story "what did you get the only snacks in there are mine" Lauren said while starting him down. Keith just rolls his eyes. "Anyway, what I was trying to say was I heard mom on the phone begging her boss not to fire her". Lauren hops off the bed and comes down to his level so their eye to eye, " Are you sure she was talking to her boss". " Duh, I heard her say, Mr. Bryant" Keith shrieked. In the middle of talking, they heard their mom get in the shower. "Hey samurai, Keith, I got a mission for you," Lauren whispered trying to get him engaged. "What" Keith begged. "If you can sneak mom's phone I'll let you have all my snacks" Lauren bribed him. Keith jumps up and down in excited me and goes to get the phone. 5 minutes pass and he comes back with the phone. "Thank you and as promised all the snacks are yours," Lauren said giving Keith a fist bump. Keith heads to the kitchen when Lauren gets up to close her room door the phone pings flashing a text.

Lauren heard the shower turn off so she raced to put the phone back but while moving fast she tripped on something causing her to bump into her mother." is that my phone in your hand"Amy said staring at the mobile device in Laurens's hand. " Um yes, I heard i-i-i-it go off while I was in the kitchen" Lauren stuttered. Sarah was trying to determine if it was the truth or not. " Alright next time stay your dumb ass out my room" Sarah hissed.
