he quietly sat down next to her, unsure of what to do next. he should say something. introduce himself, anything! this may be his only chance! but before he could, she slowly turned her head and looked him in the eye. there was a glint in her eyes. silently, she pulled out one earbud from her ears and offered it to him. he was taken aback but he took it and put it in his ear anyway. they sat down and listened in silence for a while, her staring straight ahead and him staring at her side profile. she is stunning. and she listens to rock music! he would have never guessed that.

he cleared his throat. she raised her eyebrows.

"hi, my name is dylan. i ..."
"i know", she cut him off and smiled. "i've been watching you too."

the picture above inspired this snippet. it's a screenshot from jay chou's mv for the song "等你下课" and the lyric in the picture says "what are you listening to on your earphones? can you tell me?"

and this is actually another ending scene that kept repeating in my head but at the time i was too lazy/had no time/scared to write the beginning and middle of the fic so i just typed this up really quickly and posted this so i wouldn't forget and hope that maybe someday i would actually write the whole thing. (we all know how that worked out and ... are y'all seeing a pattern with me yet? >_< )
