My alarm clock went off. It was time to start a brand new day with a brand new attitude. I hopped out of bed, bending backwards to stretch until I heard a slight crack in my back.

I let out a deep breath, sitting back on my bed to put on some socks. I went straight into the bathroom, taking a quick shower and brushing my teeth.

Once I finished in the bathroom, I let my hair dry in the towel wrapped on my head. I picked out a white tank top that showed my belly button from my closet and a pair of black leggings from my dresser drawer.

I moisturized my body, then put my clothes on. Walking into my closet once again, I slipped on my black and white low top checkerboard vans. Then I put on my blue denim jacket.

I took my hair out of the towel, letting it fall on my shoulders. It was still a little wet but by the time it dried, I figured It'd be okay.

I put in some silver hoop earrings, and my bellybutton ring. I was ready for school today.

I sprayed some perfume on my neck and wrists, picking my bag and my gym bag up from the ground and walked into the living room.

I sat on the couch, ordering an Uber. It said my ride would be there in 5 minutes. When 5 minutes had past, my driver was just approaching my house.

"Bye y'all!" I yelled, hoping either my mom or sister would hear. I walked out of the house, getting into my Uber.

When I got to school, I rushed into the building. Thank God, Lisa had gotten there before me. I instantly engaged in conversation.

"Hey." I smiled.

"Ahh look who finally wanna come to school." She smiled back, giving me a hug.

"Girl I missed one day." I laughed, rolling my eyes.

I opened up my locker putting my gym bag in and taking out my books. I waited for Lisa to do the same so we could walk to class together.

"Why you ain't come to school yesterday?" Lisa asked.

Before I could even give her an explanation, someone spoke my name, interrupting me.

"Cassie." I heard. Turning around, I saw Mickel's sorry ass puppy dog look.

Instantly, I wanted to cry. He had done me so dirty and the last thing I wanted to do was see him or talk to him.

I left Lisa and him alone, speed walking down the hallway into class. My anxiety increased and I could feel my heart beating through my chest.

The bell rang and class began. My nerves started to calm down but I couldn't shake the feeling of what just happened. I thought I was okay but I wasn't and I was trying not to cry my eyes out in school.

As the teacher started his lesson, I made sure I focused on the lesson so I could at least try to forget what just happened and it somewhat worked.

It was now lunch and I finally shook the feeling of what took place this morning with Mickel. I thought of officially ending our relationship but I just didn't know how.

I stared into space, thinking about the situation. Then they were interrupted by Lisa.

"So you still not talking to Mickel huh?" She asked, taking a seat next to me at our usual lunch table.
