Monday Morning
Cassie Davis, 6:45am
"Come on Saint we gotta go." I whined, throwing my purse over my shoulder and my gym bag over the other.

"Give me a second Cass." Saint smiled, turning back around to my mom. They'd been talking since 6:00 o'clock. Didn't know what about and I didn't care.

Saint sipped some of the orange juice my mom poured him, taking a bite of his butter on toast.

"Ugh." I huffed. "We're gonna be late."

"Cassie hush! I am talking to Saint." My mom snapped.

I rolled my eyes looking at Saints face. He smiled back at me, sticking his tongue out. Then he turned back around, continuing to talk.

"Yeah my mom lives next door, remember? Raven Smith." He said, sipping his juice obnoxiously to annoy me.

"Oh my gosh! She still lives there?! I feel terrible!" My mom gasped. "You know when you and Cassie were younger, I would talk to her here and there. We used to get pedicures together. Good times. It's just been so long"

"No Mrs. Davis. It is okay. People drift. I totally understand." Saint smiled, finishing his toast and juice.

"Do want anymore baby?" She asked.

"No. He doesn't." I answered, before he could answer for himself.

"I-" He said before I pulled him away from the island in our kitchen.

"Bye Mrs. Davis!" He said, waving to my mom.

"Bye mommy, love you." I smiled, blowing her a kiss.

I pushed Saint out of the house and closed the door behind us before my mom could say anything back.

"She's so nice." Saint smiled, taking my gym bag from me to carry.

"Yeah." I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

Saint stepped in front of me, opening the passenger seat for me.

"Thanks." I huffed, closing it for myself.

He walked around to the drivers seat to pull out of my driveway.

"We got a game on Friday. You ready to cheer for yo man." He smiled.

"You already know." I smiled, sticking my tongue out.

He drove down the street, stopping at at stop, light and turning on some music. It lowly played through the speakers as I scooted closer to him.

"You know you can't get any closer right

"You know you can't get any closer right." He laughed.

"Oh trust me, I could." I sighed.

"I could tell who about to be the annoying one in this relationship." He chuckled, rolling his eyes.
