Chapter 3 ( she will be fine )

Chris's POV (before what happened)

We were all playing in the pool waiting Claire to join us and Sam to come back from the bathroom.

I heard Claire yelling that she's back so we all turned to her and waited till she comes. But instead she fell and her head bumped into a broken peice of Ceramic. She started screaming and the whole pool turned red from her blood.

I dashed to her. She lost her consensus and started drowning. Toby followed me and then we carried her out of the water and tried waking her up. Meanwhile Crystal was trying to calm Sadie down.

"Claire" I said while shaking her. She never answered. "We need to take her to the hospital!" I said as me and Toby carried her to the car.

I sat in the driver's seat as Toby sat down at the back seat making Claire lay down on his lap. I dashed to the hospital then, we carried her and ran inside the hospital. "We need a doctor, Now" I yelled as I felt panic hunting me.

A couple of nurses came and took her to the emergency treating area. I looked beside me to find that Toby has a couple of tears in his eyes. Actually I was panicking myself but I needed to comfort him as much as I can. "Hey .... It's gonna be ok" I said while Patting his shoulders "she will be fine"

Toby looked to me and smiled "I wish" he said. I smiled back and realized how worried the other must be. "We need to call Sadie or anyone from them making them know she is ok " I told Toby. "But we don't have our phones plus we don't know if she is even ok" he said . I looked at him then asked the reception if I can make a call.

They accepted and then handed me a phone. I called Sadie. I was about to tell her not to worry but I heard someone crying so hard behind her.
"Is everything ok" I asked
"Yeah but Sam is panicking out there" She said but then "HOW IS CLAIRE DOING" I heard someone yelling from behind I could tell it was Sam.

"Don't worry Sam. she is getting treatments now she'll be fine" I said"OMG thanks Chris for telling us I'll bring Sam, Crystal and come" Sadie said. "Ok just be careful" I said as I hung up. "They're coming" I told Toby. He nodded as he gave me a worried look. I patted his shoulders and sat next to him. All of a sudden I felt myself sobbing.

Toby looked at me and then he hugged me "Don't worry Chris. She will be fine" he whispered in my ears. I hugged him back and smiled. It is just so cute he's younger than me with a couple of years and he's just being so cute.

One of the nurses came out the room . I ran to her and asked if Claire was ok. She smiled then nodded "yeah she needed a couple of stitches thanks God it wasn't that deep of a cut" she said. I sighed "is she awake?" Toby asked from behind. "No not yet" she said. "Thank you" I said as went to Toby.

"Let's go check on her" I said as I took his hands and stood him up. I walked towards her room with Toby trailing behind, knocked on the door and entered. Her forehead and cheek were covered. She was sleeping like an angel. I looked to her with a broken heart.

Toby went and sat next to her so did I. I took her hands and started to whisper "stay strong Claire" I smiled then heard the door open. I looked behind me to find worried faces of Crystal and Sadie while I found a panicking Sam standing. I stood up and told them not to worry she is ok. They all smiled and went to check on her. Even though she wasn't awake I felt that she was happy.

They all had worried faces but I knew I was the eldest so I had to control myself and not to show them that I'm worried . I patted Sam's shoulder and turned him to face me. I then sat on my knees so that I can match his length. "Don't worry Sambo she'll be fine" I said with a smile. "I know your worried Chris you don't have to act that everything is ok when it's not" he said with a low kinda sad tone.I looked to him in his eyes and said "the nurse told me she's fine she just needed a bit of stitches Sam. She is really ok" I said as I kissed his forehead with a smile

He looked at me then squeezed me in a hug. I hugged him back and then told him that he don't need to worry.

⚜ A few hours later ⚜

Claire didn't wake up yet and everyone is exhausted. I looked at Toby and Crystal "you can leave if you want" I could tell that they were so exhausted because Crystal was laying her head on top of Toby's shoulder and sleeping. While Toby was lying his head on the wall and sleeping. Crystal looked at me "I can't leave leaving my best friend here" Toby looked at her then looked at me and said "nor me" I smiled of the thought that she has some really caring friends.

I then looked to Sam and Sadie and before I can even say a word they shoock their heads. I laughed a weak laugh then took Claire's hand and kissed it "get well soon princess" I whispered while returning to my chair and went to sleep.
