Chapter 13 ( what's wrong Sam?)

" So for your practical exam I decided to go for something a bit easy this time" Mr. Knight , my science teacher, started. " You will be working on writing a research about ' Nuclear Reaction' the project due will be in 3 days so don't waste your time" he ended causing a lot of us to groan I've always hated Chemistry and this is a prove to why the universe hates me.

Sam smirked at me. I rolled my eyes at him. I don't think that I've mentioned before that Sam beats me at Chemistry. I mentally groaned then stood up to leave class since it was over.

" Hey Claire" I heard Sam call me from behind. " Yeah?" I asked trying to ignore the smirk he gave me at class. " Have fun writing your essay" he said winking then walking away. Was he for real?!

" Yeah yeah sure I'll have plenty of fun" I muttered under my breath. I held my crutches then start walking to the lockers. I entered my locker combination then got the stuff I need for next class Wich is History. I slowly closed the locker door when Gracie and Crystal approached me.

" What was that?" Crystal asked smirking. What did she mean. " What was what?" I asked hoping she'll make herself clear.

She rolled her eyes. " What was that between you and Toby yesterday?" She asked now clarifying the question. I felt myself blushing a little. " N-nothing we we're just talking" I said looking anywhere but her.

" Mhm'' just talking ' " she said bending her index finger. Gracie chuckled beside her. " Shut up" I mumbled. " C'mon now Claire you know I was there from the beginning I heard every  thing. You both like each other don't you" I chocked on air.

" NO" I screamed. " I mean I like him as a friend" I said hoping they'll go with it but in reply they just nodded with a smirk on both of their faces.

After I finally gave up knowing I was too clear. I put my crutches on Crystal's leg. " Try and tell him and you'll see" I said in a warning tone. She chuckled looking at Gracie with a knowing look Gracie gave her the same look then they walked away leaving me to suffer alone.

What were they up to??

I prayed God anything but Toby knowing I like him. I was interrupted from my thoughts to the bell ringing I walked to my History class. I sat at the end of the class not really in the mood to participate in this class. A couple of minutes later Ms. Kayla entered the class room.

" Good morning " she said approaching her desk. A bit of  'mornings ' and ' heys ' were thrown by the students. She smiled then said " open your books to page 243. Today will be talking about ancient Egypt".

I opened my book feeling like I want to literally die.

Ms. Kayla started explaining why the Pharaohs built the pyramids and other stuff like that.

After class was over it was finally the end of the day. I went to my locker and grabbed the stuff I'll need to do my homework. I put them in my back bag. Then walked down the corridors looking for Sam to ask him if he can help me with the science project.

Hopefully he doesn't make fun of me

I kept looking around till I found him and Jack talking beside the guys bathroom. " Hey Sam" I said walking to him. He stopped the conversation then looked to me. " Hey babygirl, how's your leg" he said ruffling my hair. He Seriously didn't just do this. I mentally groaned then answered his question.
