Traditional chinese wonton

Ingredients:

Filling:

1. 180-200 grams of minced chicken

2. 1 tbsp of soy sauce

3. A pinch of salt, pepper, and chicken powder

4. 1/2 tsp of sugar

5. Spring onion

6. Water chestnut, minced (optional but gives u a bit of a crunchy texture)

Gravy/sauce:

1. Garlic, minced

2. 5 tbsp of soy sauce

3. A pinch of pepper

4. 1/4 tsp sugar

5. 1/2-1 tbsp vinegar (depending how strong the vinegar flavor u want it to be, but u won't taste the vinegar)

6. 1/2 tsp chili flakes

7. One to two tbsp of oil

Making of the wonton:

1. Wonton skin

2. 1 tsp cornstarch

3. 2 tsp water

4. Water

Instructions:

1. Mix all the ingredients. (For the filling only)

2. Use a spoon and spoon out about 1/2-1 tbsp of the filling to the centre of the wonton skin)

3. Mix the 2 tbsp of water and the 1 tsp of cornstarch tgt.

4. Dab the sides of the wonton skin with the cornstarch water and fold

5. Heat up a sauce pan filled with water and boil the wonton in it until all the wonton floats up when the heat is turned off.

6. While the wonton is boiling, make the gravy/sauce.

7. Heat up a frying pan with oil and fry the minced garlic until the color is brown. (Don't burn it)

8. Mix the rest of the ingredients and add in some garlic (As much as u wish) and 1/2 tbsp of oil into the soy sauce mixture

9. Taste the gravy and if it's too salty, u can add more sugar/vinegar.

10. Put the wonton into a bowl and pour the sauce on rope of the wonton. (U can add less of the soy sauce mixture onto the wonton if u want)

11. Garnish with spring onion and chili flakes if desired.

1. Garlic, minced

2. Oil

3. 4 tbsp of soy sauce

4. 1 tbsp of chilly oil

5. 1/2 tbsp of vinegar

6. A pinch of pepper

Instructions(only for the gravy/sauce):

1. Heat up a frying pan with oil and fry the minced garlic until brown.

2. Mix all the ingredients in and add the fried garlic into the soy sauce mixture (without the oil from the frying pan cuz there is oil from the chili oil)

- Wonton: smaller than dumpling, but they are still kind of the same.
