The Forbidden Forest

Sirius POV

I woke up to Remus curled into my neck, I smiled since he was taller than me I would be the one curled into him not the other way around. I ran my fingers through his hair smiling he began to stir after a few minutes and opened his eyes he smiled when he saw me running my fingers through his hair.

"Morning, baby," he said I smiled and kissed his nose.

"Morning," I said his smile was wider when I kissed his nose.

"What do you want to do today?" He asked I smiled and pulled him closer from my arm that was around his waist.

"I don't care, as long as your there," I said he smiled and thought about it for a bit.

"How about we chase leaves and sticks in the Forest?" He asked I smiled and nodded.

"Sounds fun, but how are we gonna get in there it's off limits? The students on the grounds will go to a Professor." I said he smiled and got up.

"McGonagall, she was allowed to give me permission when the full moon is close, she's bound to give me permission if I tell her I don't feel well and the forest will help with that." He said I smiled and got dressed with him the snow was still coming down faster and heavier and it covered the ground in a blanket of snow.

"Where you guys going?" James asked putting on his glasses.

"McGonagall then the Forest," Remus  said James shot up and threw on some clothes.

"I'm coming," he said Remus  groaned.

"Oh come on, Moon, let the poor lad come with us," I said he chuckled and nodded.

"I just wanted to be alone with you," he whispered in my ear nibbling it a bit.

"Don't you tease," I said he chuckled and grabbed his scarf and gloves we walked the corridors and ran into McGonagall walking as well.

"Professor, can we go into the Forest? I'm not feeling like being around a lot of people today," he said she smiled a bit and nodded.

"You may, just be careful," she said we nodded and hurried off to the Entrance Hall and out the oak front doors. The sun was high in the sky now and made the snow sparkle more, we walked to the Forest and walked a way into it before James turned into a deer and I turned into a dog. Remus threw some snow, twigs, and leaves I chased them with James, though I was the dog he was acting more like one, Remus laughed as he threw sticks and we chased them. I barked at James as he grabbed the stick I was going to grab Remus laughed at this.

Remus POV

I threw sticks, leaves and snow at James and Sirius it was funny because James would go after the sticks and leaves I threw for Sirius and Sirius would bark at him. I threw a particularly heavy and fat stick and it hit James in the arse he turned around startled when he found Sirius chewing on said stick. James nudged Sirius with his nose and Sirius took off with the stick I ran after them picking up sticks and leaves as I went to throw to them.

We reached an overgrown field that was now covered with snow Sirius was laying down chewing on his stick and James was eating snow I chuckled at both of them. I was still standing under a tree when I threw the sticks and leaves to them Sirius didn't pay no mind to it but James did and he pounced on them I chuckled until I heard a cracking above I looked and the snow was falling off the tree so I didn't pay any mind to it. I continued throwing snow, sticks, leaves anything I could find and laughed as James chased it and Sirius continued with his stick, that's when it happened. The cracking was a tree branch breaking above me, I remember throwing a stick and snow before it fell on top of me.

"Sirius!" I managed to call out to him before I passed out.

Sirius POV

"Sirius!" I heard Remus call I looked up and he was on the ground a massive tree branch on top of him. I changed back into my human form and ran over to him I tried lifting the branch but it was to heavy, I pulled out my wand and levitated it off him it fell on him once and he spit out blood I tried again and it moved. I looked over and James was watching still a deer, "Come on, you idiot," I called he ran towards us and let me get on his back with Remus. He rode us to the edge of the Forest I got off him and he changed back into a human we ran towards the Hospital Wing, James was yelling at everyone to move out of the way so we got there faster. I laid Remus on the nearest bed and called for Pomfrey she bustled over and gasped at Remus when she reached us.

"What happened?" She asked urgently James was outside the room pacing.

"McGonagall gave us permission to go into the Forest and we were playing with snow, leaves sticks and whatever he found throw I ran off with a stick he threw James ran after me and so did he. We were in a field I was in the snow playing with the stick he was under a tree that was weighted from the snow it ended up breaking and falling on him." I explained she nodded and looked him over.

"Lay in that bed," she pointed to the bed beside Remus, "and I'll get you some calming potions."

"Thank you, Poppy," I said she smiled and closed the curtains on Remus' bed as she looked him over. When she finished she went get some potions, bandages and chocolate, she walked over to me and gave me a calming potion before she wrapped him up and opened his curtains. "What's wrong with him?" I asked quickly as I stood to sit next to him.

"He had a few broken ribs, a lung that had a small puncture in it and, I don't know if you knew this, but those scars on his wrists aren't from the last full moon, they're from him." She said I nodded and she walked off I turned to Remus and held his hand as I looked at the scars on his wrist. Indeed, they weren't the same as the ones the wolf would give him they were in straight lines up to his shoulder I sniffled and kissed his hand. He'd be out for a day or two due to the potions Poppy forced him to take so I'd stay until he woke up.

*two days later*

Remus POV

I woke up and it was dark and I noticed a hunched over figure and a weight on my arm I jerked my arm and said figure jerked its head up. "Remus? Are you up?" Sirius asked I could tell he was scared and tired.

"Yes, what time is it?" I asked he looked out the window and back at me.

"Between three and four probably," he said I nodded and groaned, "You ok?"

"Yeah, wanna cuddle?" I asked he smiled and nodded, he crawled in beside me and let me curl into him so he didn't hurt me he stroked my hair and I fell asleep again this time with a smile on my face.
