His life was fine, until he met him. The boy who ruined his life.
A boy who shall not be named, for it does not deserve to be spoken.
The boy stood outside, basking in the sun's warmth. He was graduating fourth grade in a few hours. He had to get ready in a bit, but for now, he would be staring at the sky, reliving the past school year. He put his hands in his skeleton robe, walking out to the front of his house. He was just about to sit on the sidewalk when another boy came out of his neighboring house.
He met the other boy's eyes and shot an icy glare. The other boy smirked, the idea of mischief lit up his face. He started to saunter his way over to the kid in the skeleton robe, putting his hands into his pocket, and leaning on the fence surround their house.
"Why hello Joseph." said Rick. Joseph glared at Rick, his eyes full of distrust.
"Get off my fence Rick."
Those words were said with such force and negativity that Rick almost backed off.
Almost.
Instead of leaving the fence alone, he instead leaned farther into Joseph's property, curious of his reaction. Joseph's face progressively got more red, a contrast to his blonde hair. His eyebrows scrunched up and his mouth curled in distress.
"Make me."
That pushed Joseph to the edge. He aggressively pushed the fence open. His parents were asleep, so they probably couldn't hear what was happening outside. A stunned Rick backed up, surprised that Joseph could be like this. Joseph on the other hand, decided to try and make Rick pay for what he did to him. All those years of being pushed around, doing his homework and generally being treated like shit was coming back. He was going to make him pay.
Joseph started cussing out Rick in the middle of the road. He kept screaming, tears running down his face as he yelled his frustrations out at Rick. Rick started to insult Joseph as well, which led to the both of them having a verbal argument in the middle of the road.
It got to the point where Rick physically pushed Joseph. The younger male fell to the ground, a wave of shock running throughout his body. He shook as he stood up, his face looking towards the ground. He suddenly looked up, his cheeks red, and his eyes full of hate.
"If you're gonna fucking put a hand on me, i'm gonna fucking rip your face off BITCH." Joseph threatened.
Their argument didn't go unnoticed, it seems, for a small group of other kids formed around the two. One of the nameless faces asked what happened. Joseph sat down and put his head into his hands. He looked at the kid who asked the question, their face curious.
"Cause he fuckin' pushed me!" Exclaimed Joseph. The faces became blank as they realized that the argument wasn't about anything special. The crowd started to disperse, scattering throughout the winds.
Rick wandered off, deciding not to get involved with him anymore. It was as he walked off that Joseph's parents came outside. They asked what happened and he told them. They told Joseph that they were going to get involved with Rick's parents later, but he didn't think that would do anything. They just carried him off, telling him to get ready for his graduation.
So much for a happy day I guess.
