I was snapped back into reality by my phone, my alarm was going off to tell me that I was off shift. I went to the lockers to collect my bag and I put on my red zip-up hoodie. I walked out of the hospital and turned the corner to walk home. Just as I was doing so my phone rang with an unexpected call from my parents. This really surprised me because they lived in America, were super rich multimillionaires and I hardly ever heard from them.
"Hello Mum!" I said as I answered the phone.
"Hi darling, sorry I haven't got long, your father and I are flying over to the UK tomorrow, just a little break in a different country for a few days." she explained.
"Wow okay, that's awesome, I haven't seen you for like a year!" I replied.
"Yes darling so we'll see you soon, I've got to go, love you, bye" she said quickly.
"Love you too, bye mum!" I replied and then hung up. Wow a visit from my parents. This was exciting, or a nightmare. The first question they would ask, "How's your love life?". Oh shit. This was going to be awful. Luckily mum's idea of a 'little break' was a day or two. So that was fine, they will have disappeared by Saturday. Ahh Saturday, I can't wait! I walked down the high street and past Allianz Park, Saracens new stadium and to my delight they were outside training. I looked to the posts and there he was, standing there all handsome and gorgeous. I could have stood there all night but I knew I had to get home. So I carried on walking past the stadium and round the corner into a side street. Then I turned off into a quiet little road on the new estate. I walked halfway up and then reached my house. The others were already back, both cars were on the drive. I took my keys out my bag and unlocked the door. I closed the door behind me, slipped off my shoes and dumped my bag at the bottom of the stairs. I walked into the living room where Lottie was sat on the sofa and Lex was sat opposite on the other sofa.
"Hey Lindsay" Lottie greeted me and I went and sat down next to her.
"Hi guys, good day?" I asked.
"Yeah, busy in the restaurant but it was good" Lex replied.
"What about you Lot?" I asked turning to face her.
"Yeah it was great, it was really cool especially when I was walking home and I walked past Allianz and saw them training!" she said excitedly.
"Oh my god yes I totally agree, I just stood there staring at him" I replied happily. We all sat chatting about the team for a while until we heard a key in the door.
"Who the--" I began.
"It's Richard, I gave him a key, don't have a fit!" said Lex sarcastically.
"Ohhhh" Lottie and I said in unison. Then he walked through the door. Oh my god a Saracen player, in my house. Lottie and I were practically starstruck even though we had met him before.
"Hey girls" he said as he went and sat next to Lex and put his arm around her.
"Excuse me? Girls? Two days and I'm a woman!" I said dramatically.
"Big birthday coming up! What you doing?" he asked.
"Nothing really, going to Saturday's double header of course, oh and my parents are coming over" I replied.
"What the fuck? They live in America!" Lex said surprised.
"I know, they rang me as I was leaving the hospital, they are coming over tomorrow and leaving Friday.." I explained.
"Awesome, who do they work for?" Richard asked.
"They are the chief executives of Allianz over in America, they are totally loaded." I said. Lex began laughing suddenly and I knew why.
"What's so funny?" asked Lot.
"When I said 'they are totally loaded' I said it in a Michael McIntyre way, Lex and I used to watch it a lot when we were fourteen" I explained.
"Wait hold on, did you say Allianz?" Richard inquired referring to my parents.
"Yeah why?" I asked confused.
"They are our biggest sponsor this year, they built us the new stadium, Allianz Park.." he explained.
"Oh my god. I know your sponsored by Allianz but I never thought about it before! Oh my actual god. Wait! Does this mean I can meet the team?" I asked.
"More than likely yes, we want to thank your parents" he said. I looked at Lottie, we both knew what this meant. Finally we would be able to meet our soon-to-be-boyfriends. We both stood up, jumping and screaming.
"Why so happy?" asked Richard after we calmed down.
"Basically they are both in love with two players and I mean head over heels in love" said Lexi.
"Lex!" I exclaimed.
"Oh come on, he was going to find out soon. I mean if he walks into your room it wouldn't take him long to work out you're in love with Owen" she stated. I started giggling and smiling like an idiot all because she said his name.
"Right so your in love with Faz, and I'll bet Lottie likes Nils?" he guessed. Lottie and I nodded and blushed a deep crimson.
"Ooosshh! I am good!" he said happily.
"Well my parents are coming over, we could bring them down to Allianz?" I suggested.
"Yeah sounds cool, I'll have to run it by Mark though, I'll give you a call about it" he said.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was actually going to meet him. HIM! Oh my god. Words couldn't describe how happy I was. I knew Lottie was over the moon too, both of us walked around for the rest of the day smiling like complete idiots.
