"Attention all citizens: Due to the city wide outbreak, you are advised to take shelter at the Raccoon City police station. Free food and medical supplies will be provided to anyone in need."

You perked your head at the sudden notice, knocking yourself from your spacing-out session. You still sat in the back of the cop car you escaped away in with your newly found  acquaintances; Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Leon was cop, and your hero you might add, which you only found out about ten minutes ago. You still hadn't thanked him for saving your life, as it hasn't crossed your mind up until this point.

You didn't want to think about any thing that had to do with the incident earlier.

"Oh my god, this is so unreal," Claire's voice began lowly.

"You said it..." you agreed with a scoff.

"The police station's not much farther. They'll know something," Leon reassured.

"Yeah, but... what if we're the only ones? What if there's no survivors —"

Your heart dropped at Claire's words, your stomach beginning to turn as your mother came to your mind. You should've been home around this time, she's probably worried sick about you now. You hoped she was alright, as she was your only family that you had...

"No," Leon cut off, as if he heard your thoughts. "There's survivors. It's a big city... there has to be."

You glanced up into the rear view mirror at his reflection, his stern eyes locked onto the road. You couldn't understand why he was so calm and reassuring in a situation like this. That's how a police officer should be though, right? you thought quizzically to yourself. You were a fucked up mess and for a moment, you wished you had Leon's qualities. It'd be very useful for you right now, especially in this kind of situation.

"Crap..."

You leaned forward in your seat behind Leon, peering through the windshield as you felt the car slowing to a stop. Black and yellow barricades closed off the road ahead, as well as several damaged cars were stringed across just beyond it.

"Looks like we're walking from here," Leon sighed, putting the car into park.

BANG!

You jumped back at the sudden loud thud against your window. A bloody hand print stained the glass in front of you and you put up a defensive hand at the muffled groans that grew louder and louder.

"Guys..." you breathed in fear. Not fucking again!

"More like running," Claire commented.

You yelped as more zombies clashed their fists against the car at all angles; at Claire's side, at Leon's side! You couldn't take this anymore! Your eyes darted around the backseat, your mind lost at what to suggest to get you and your acquaintances out of this fucking mess.

"W- We have to back up!" your voice faltered as you came to your knees, glancing out the back window. "We —"

All your words got caught in your throat at the sight of headlights heading your way. Large headlights; one's that belonged to huge vehicle that wasn't stopping anytime soon. It was a truck! You gasped as it continued to come at you at full speed.
