Shade: I knew you were coming for me.. I never belonged anyway so please if I’m to disappear make it quick you are boring me.
Jonathan: isn’t that sarcastic attitude of yours a bit unsuitable for the occasion?
Shade: Oh ho ho, excuse me what attitude? Have you forgot that that’s exactly the point? I’m a single trait and I’ve been more than honored to be that one.
Jonathan: I never liked you
Shade: how odd !? you know what, that’s a bit out of character but I think you should shut the hell up you and my fellow comrades…
You all do nothing but judge me and criticize me and my attitude towards serious situations, but if you actually look at it, “I” was the only one around with that poor kid in every hardship, it was ME who helped her get through life light heartedly, you all did nothing but stress out and make stuff harder than they already are, I made fun of fear, of terror, of anxiety, of judgment , I made fun of ALL of you and that’s why you all hate me, but that’s what I’ll always do, I’ll humiliate it all and show this kid how small you guys are , how VERY VERY small you are, you feed on people ideas of you and grow more and more in their brains till you ruin their lives.
But I’ll let the kid know that it’s not your power that causes people’s misery, it’s the power that we give you that befalls us with misfortune, you’re only an idea, a thought and that’s as far as you could get.
Jonathan: Please don’t get ahead of yourself.. you’re a thought too after all.
Shade: I know.. but I shall remain even if the kid chooses to get rid of me I’ll be back, don’t forget that I’m a shadow before anything.. and everything has a shadow, as long as anything is, I will be too, she’ll need to look a little closely but I’ll always be there for her, a loyal servant, as I have always been.
