all those friendly people-funeral suits

The yellow beams of light passing through the slits of the window shutters give the room a lime green hue, I admit this is my favourite sight to open my eyes to, the parallel yellow beams then fall on the ceiling like a ladder leading to nowhere,
A split second later I realized I’m already late for school and there’s no time for my deep philosophical thoughts, so let’s save that for the weekend.
I get up and get ready in about 10 mins and run off to school,
On my way to school I noticed something unusual, the marsh is remarkably greener and I could swear I saw a person running behind the fence towards the bridge… I am very curious to know what’s going on but I have no time for this now,
The professor: students, today I’m introducing to you a new student here in our school, please introduce yourself (turning towards the door)
A girl enters the classroom she has long dark hair, sharp features, pale complexion, and a very characteristic bright green eyes,… she looked extremely familiar.
The girl: Hello, My name is Kyoko, I’m a new member here.
Kate: (member!?)
Jesse: (whispering to herself) mirror..
Kate: (turning to jesse) what? What did you just say,
Jesse: her name.. Kyoko means mirror, it’s Japanese.
That fact slightly troubled me… why!?
The girl walked towards me and pulled a seat next to me, then looked at me with a smile,
Kyoko: Do I know you? You look very familiar.
Kate: I had the same thought but I don’t think I’ve had the honour actually…
Kyoko: Oh really, okay then it’s about time we meet I guess, let’s be friends. (still with the same smile on her face)
Kate:….(her words selection seems really weird) Sure I’d be honored to be your friend.
She then turned and looked in front of her, but I’m sure I heard her say “how vain” but I was uncomfortable enough around her, so I didn’t ask.
After the school ended that girl disappeared in thin air, but once me and Jesse reached the main gate of our school right opposite the river on the other side of the road, she reappeared.
Kyoko: your name was jesse right?
Jesse: uh … yes !?
Kyoko: I’m very sorry Jesse but can I speak to Kate for a while.
Jesse: (looking at me as if to ask should she or should she not) why is there something wrong?
Kate: (I nodded at her to tell her it’s okay) you can go ahead first and wait for me at the bridge jesse, we won’t be late right?
Kyoko: yes of course just ten minutes or so,
Jesse: fine then ( she walks slowly still looking at me to make sure it’s okay to leave till she disappears in horizon)
Kyoko: So , Kate , I just wanted to introduce you to people you may know ( she pointed to the right)
I saw four silhouettes standing on the other side of the road two tall silhouettes, one slightly shorter, and one clearly for a child , the red sun setting from behind them and the orange beams radiating all around them made them look completely dark.
One of the tall silhouettes moved forward, I can clearly see his face now, he doesn’t seem happy to see me at all.
Nate: (with a very unfriendly expression on his face) HI there, we hate you, please fix your mess, we’re not your toys, miss.
Jade: (moving forward as well) Nate! What are you doing! Don’t talk like that, she’s just a child after all!!
Shade: (he stepped forward but there’s no difference really, still a silhouette) Hey, for the first time I actually agree with the old lady, she’s only a kid, and we only need her to fix this after all.
Kit the Kid: (running forward stretching his arm for a handshake) HI, I’m Kit the Kid I love chocolate, clouds and the colour blue.
Kate: ( very confused and scared now) ..H..Hi I’m kate, I love the sky, the moon and the colour yellow..
Kit the kid: See, she’s a friend ! I knew she would love the colour yellow.
(wait.. but I hate yellow!?)
Kyoko: Welcome to your Family, Kate.
