The river rose a little higher and the fishes were very active jumping here and there with there shiny scales reflecting sunbeams making them look like pieces of jewelry jumping in and out of the river, it was still sunset, as always.
Inside the shack sat Nate on his chair by the desk and jade was standing on the other side of the room by the window, only two daisy pots remained.
Jade gently moved the curtains with her hands and looked through the window, she could see kate and jonathan coming from afar.
Jade: I think it’s time Nate, be prepared.
Nate: what’s the difference anyway?
Jade: No I think this time is it, it will finally end.. I will go meet them first.
A bit far away on the marsh where jonathan and kate walking towards the wooden shack.
Jonathan: I think I can handle Jade but you must talk to Nate I don’t think I’ll be able to understand him.
Kate: okay..
After a few minutes they met jade half way,
Jonathan: you go kate I’ll be here. ( kate nodded and continued moving onward towards the shack)
Jade: hello jonathan, it’s nice to see you again.
Jonathan: oh please drop the mask jade we all know what you are.
Jade: do you think that your behavior is suitable for your position? You’re such a disgrace, you don’t deserve where you are.
Jonathan: (bursts out in laughter) HA Look at you now showing your true skin!
Jade:I have no true nor false skin, I’m not a hypocrite and I can’t allow you to call me that!
Jonathan: No no don’t get me wrong please! That’s not what I meant, all I was saying is that you think you’re such a perfect creature that does nothing wrong and go on judging everyone around you because they can’t be like you! OH God I’ve kept that inside me for so long sheesh! I didn’t realize I disliked you that much! Haha
Jade: You won’t understand, I know you won’t ! you’re arrogant and blinded by your position, you don’t think I want the best for that kid? I am doing my best trying to make her become what no one else could be! The traits of novelties kindness, compassion, hard work, loyalty, nobility, I’m trying to set these standards I might be a bit harsh but my intentions are good!
Jonathan: And haven’t you ever thought why no one else could be that? Don’t you think that your ways eventually lead to self loathing and are rather destructive than constructive? Because no one will ever be good enough? No one would ever be able to meet your unrealistic standards?
Jade: Oh come on! I make them belittle themselves to.. to always try and be better to feel like there’s always a room for improvement, and besides what would a little self loathing do? Swords are only polished with stones!
Jonathan: you try to show someone that there’s a room for improvement by encouraging them jade! Not by judging and belittling them! Oh and they’re not swords.. these are humans for god’s sake! Be gone jade you’re getting on my nerves.
