Eliza POV
My heart stopped. My breathing stopped. Everything around me came to a pause as his head slowly rested on my lap. We were almost half way through the book when he started drifting off. He stared to stir a bit, and soon collapsed. He changed his position and lay down next to me, his head going to my lap and falling asleep.
I stopped reading to process what was happening. This was probably the first day in the past 2 months where he didn't try to hurt me or be mean to me. We've never been this close before. It feels so strange, but comfortable at the same time.
I look down. His quiet snores and breathing made me smile. I couldn't help by play with the hair as it fell in his face. I read to myself, fingers twirling in his hair. After a few moments, the door sung open revealing Peggy and Hercules. I quickly push Hamilton off my lap and push him to the ground, making him up.
Alexander- OW!! WHAT THE HELL?!
He rubs his head and looks up to see Peggy and Hercules. They look back and forth from me to Hamilton. It took awhile for them to realize what happen, but the second they did they both smiled widely. Their smiles were so big, I thought it would permanently hurt their cheeks.
Peggy- Sooo..... what's going on in here, huh?
Eliza- Nothing.
Hercules- Definitely seems like something!
Alexander- What do you think we were doing?
Hercules- Having sex.
Peggy- I fucking swear, Hamilton. If she looks any bigger anytime soon, I will literally destroy you.
Alexander- Ew, we weren't doing that!
My face gets really hot. I look down and play with my fingers once again. It's a thing I do anytime I get nervous.
Alexander- We were just reading together.
Hercules- Reading each others bodies?
Alexander- That doesn't make any sense! Besides, wouldn't we be naked if we were doing anything?
Peggy- You got a point there, Hamilton. Were you making out then?
Alexander- NO! We're only friends!
Peggy- AH! YOU SAID IT!!
Alexander- Said what?
Hercules- SO YOU ARE FRIENDS!!!
Alexander- So?! We are friends, right?
Eliza- Uh. I dunno.
Peggy- She's innocent, Hamilton! She's gonna say yes no matter what because she doesn't want to hurt your feelings!
Alexander- That's not true!
Hercules- Just yesterday, I asked if she can do my chores for me, and she instantly said, and I quote, yes because she didn't want to cause any trouble or hurt my feelings.
Alexander- You made her do the chores?!
Hercules- I didn't make her! She wanted to! And she only cooked, cleaned the kitchen, and cleaned the walls of the deck! And I helped her with it!
Eliza- It wasn't really any trouble... was it?
Alexander- Well, he just won't get as much of a payment.
Hercules- You never pay any of us anyway, Hamilton.
I giggle a bit, putting my hand in front of my face. Peggy laughs louder than me. Hamilton gets up and walks to the desk, organizing his papers.
Alexander- What do you two need?
Hercules- Well, you weren't in your office and you were missing for almost 2 hours so we got worried and went on a man hunt for you.
Peggy- And I was getting worried about Eliza so I went on a women hunt for her. And lookie lookie, we found you both together, probably making out you filthy love birds!
Alexander- We weren't doing that stuff!
Peggy- Mmmph.
Hercules- Anyway, John wanted us to tell you that we're getting close to Paris.
Eliza- Paris?!
Peggy- Yup. That place is getting too old for me. We're always going there!
Hercules- That's not true. The last time we went there was almost a year ago. Maybe things have changed.
Peggy- Doubt it!
Eliza- I always wanted to go to Paris.
Alexander- Well if you want, we can spend a few days there. Just tour the town, eat the food-
Peggy- Go shopping!
My eyes light up with excitement. I stand up and Peggy rushes over.
Eliza- Really?!
Peggy- Girl, yes! Their dresses are some of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen in my life!
Eliza- My ball gown dress that I wore the night of the dance was made in France. It was my favorite dress in the whole world! But since it was so expensive, I couldn't get any more.
Peggy- Well, it will probably be a lot more cheap there in person!
Eliza- Oh my God! The second we get to port, I'm jumping off this ship.
Peggy- Well, you better wait for me or I'll hurt you!
Eliza- We can't go shopping without Angelica though! It would be wrong to!
Peggy- Meh, I can live.
Eliza- Margarita!
Peggy- Kidding, kidding!
The boys stared at us. Peggy and I giggled a bit before making our way to leave the room.
Hercules- Wait! We should have a party tonight.
I turn around and see him smirking. I look at Peggy. Before I knew it, she was smirking as well.
Alexander- No.
Peggy- Yes! It's been so long!
Hercules- I bet Elizabeth has never witnessed a pirate party!
Alexander- I think she's good.
Hercules- No, I think she should go witness at least one!
Alexander- She's too innocent! This will scar her for life!
Peggy- I mean, that's true. But we should still have a party tonight! And if it gets too much for her, we can stop early.
All eyes were on me. Maybe it would be nice to get out of my room at night and just have fun with my friends. I mean, who knows how long I'll be on this ship? Might as well make the best of it.
Eliza- I guess I'm fine with it.
Peggy- Yayy!!!
Hercules- We're going to have a pirate party!
Eliza- I mean, what's the worst that can happen, right?
Hercules- Being around people having sex all night and having drunk trying to get on top of you.
My eyes widen. Crap. What did I just get myself into?
