3rd Person POV
Peggy slowly walked down the hallway of the ship. She looked down at the floor as she hummed a tune to herself.
Everyday, she was a happy girl. She always had a smile and always made jokes. Nothing could ever take away her happiness. But today was different for her. Ever since Eliza told the crew to take her home immediately that morning, Peggy has been depressed.
It was obvious that the youngest on the ship didn't want Eliza to leave her. The two of them and Angelica have been through so much throughout the past few months. They've had many sleepovers in Eliza's room, shared gossip, talked about some people on board, and even had small dance parties. And Peggy didn't come to play when it came to dance parties.
But the fact that Eliza was going to leave was not the main thing bothering Peggy: it was her sexuality.
Her whole life, Peggy has been told that being gay was a terrible thing. Heck, the amount of people that she saw get burnt at the stake for being gay was too big. She promised herself to never get involved in that stuff.
But on this ship, that all changed for her. She met John, Hercules, and Lafayette and became best friends with them, and when they came out as gay to her Peggy was first scared, but soon saw how they were the same people and maybe even loved them more.
At night, Peggy often thought about her sexuality. She wandered if she was really straight or not. When she saw a man that every other girl on the planet would go crazy for, she would either have no reaction or cringe. She hated men and the thought of being with one.
But with girls, that was another story. She would have dreams about them... ahem, weird dreams. Anytime she saw a cute girl, her heart would stop and be amazed with that girls beauty.
Peggy didn't know what that feeling was. She has never been in love before. She didn't know what it felt like. So, when she saw a cute girl was she in love? Or was it just a random feeling about that person being only cute yet not have any loving feeling towards that person? Peggy hated not understanding what love was. That is, until she met Maria.
When she met Maria, she was instantly attracted to her. Maria was beautiful. Probably the most beautiful girl she had ever seen in her life. Her beautiful curly hair, that would jump in front of her dark brown eyes. Her killer jaw line. Her beautiful red lips. She was beyond gorgeous in Peggy's eyes. But was it love?
Peggy didn't want to admit it, but she thought she was gay. She was raised by a very religious father and mother, who of coarse taught her all the rights and wrongs, do's and don'ts about religion. Including same sec marriage.
Not to mention her older sister, Angelica. Man, Angelica was probably the biggest man-lover she knew, which shocked everyone on the ship because of the fact that Angelica was a huge feminist. Any time there was a cute boy around, she would do a good job of hiding her blush, smile, and love but everyone knew how much she was screaming on the inside. Even when she met Alexander, she started playing it cool like she hated him, but soon fell into his trap of love.
Peggy was lost in a state of confusion. She didn't know what to think about herself. She didn't want to be gay, but at the same time she didn't want to deny it. She just wanted to scream it from the rooftops: "I am gay! I am gay, proud, and I am-"
Maria- Hey, Pegs.
Soon, Peggy ran into Maria causing her to loose her train of thought. They stared at each other as Peggy tried to hid a small blush.
