Trey

Trey moans as he wakes. His head is pounding worse than any hangover he's ever had. He's going to have to reschedule the sight seeing with Alexa for another time. He hopes that she won't be too upset. She had really been looking forward to it and to taking a break from all their work. It's hard to deal with the businesses when you are on a different continent.

"Well, you've finally decided to join the land of the living. There had been some doubt as to that." Joa tells him with more than a little amusement in his voice.

Trey reluctantly opens one eye a slit and manages to turn his head towards the sound of Joa's voice. He tries to speak but his throat is so dry that he just starts coughing.

Joa gets off the chair he'd been sitting on, waiting for Trey to wake up, and pours some water for Trey to drink. He helps Trey sit up enough to drink the water before Trey collapses back onto the bed.

"What are you talking about, Joa?" Trey manages but his eyes are both closed once more. He wonders why he's bare ass naked and where Alexa is.

"You've been unconscious for three days, Trey." Joa's voice is now completely serious. There was some doubt that Trey would waken. His bitch of an ex wife, the divorce papers have been submitted, had overdosed Trey to make sure that he would have sex with her. She nearly killed him. There is no way he'll remember being with her, which makes the breakup between Trey and Alexa even worse as far as Joa is concerned.

"What the hell are you talking about Joa? And where is Alexa?" Trey finally demands of his erstwhile host.

"Trey," Joa says in a serious voice and with compassion, "Alexa left three days ago when she caught you in bed with my now ex-wife. She came in while you were fucking her and even packed and you never even looked at her while she did."

"I would never betray Alexa like that, Joa. What the fuck happened?"

Joa notices that he didn't say that he wouldn't betray Joa like that. He gives a faint smirk. "Mei Ling, my now ex, had drugged your drink. The first time wasn't enough to get you to betray Alexa, but it was enough to get her close enough to drug your second drink. She gave you to much and you overdosed on it. After you pleasured my wife you collapsed and have been in a comatose state until today."

Trey becomes pale. Alexa saw him with a female that wasn't okayed. There's no way in hell she'll stay with him now. 

He looks angrily at Joa, "What have you done to that bitch wife of yours?"

Joa, expecting the anger just holds up his hands in a sign of peace. "She's yours to do with as you see fit. She's no longer my wife and has broken the alliance treaty I had in place with her family. Take her with you, kill her, torture her, sell her, do whatever the hell you want with her, she's yours now. I am aware of Alexa's escort services, but I don't think she deserves to work in such high class situation. If you put her to work, you should put her into a whore house or make her do the streets. But that's just my humble opinion."

Trey snorts in derision, "You don't do humble, Joa. Not even after Alexa took over. But that serves her ends."

At the mention of Alexa, Trey becomes quiet and fights to hold back the tears. She's gone and he doubts that she'll talk to him anymore.

Joa hides his own thoughts and hands Trey two things, pain tablets and a letter. "The letter is from Alexa, she requested that I give it to you. This is of course the first chance that I could."

Trey struggles to sit up and Joa once more helps him do so, this time placing pillows behind to support Trey. Trey takes the pain pills and then the letter.

"I'll have some food sent up shortly. The more you eat and have to drink the quicker the pain will subside." Joa gets up and hesitates at the door when Trey doesn't say anything.

"I am sorry and very shamed that someone from my household caused so much harm to you and Alexa." With that Joa silently opens the door and leaves the room. Although he had planned on killing Trey when he demanded that he and Alexa come, he truly feels bad for the harm Mei Ling caused. He's never seen a man so in love before, especially not someone in their line of work, it's considered a weakness.

Once the door shuts behind Joa, Trey opens the letter and with shaking hands reads what Alexa has written him.

When he finishes there are tears running down his face.

He's lost her, by now she's completely out of his house and back into her own.

Now what is he supposed to do?

The only brights side is that she hasn't cut all ties. She is still willing to be allies since that whole debacle wasn't his fault. She apologized that she hadn't stepped in to stop it, but she hadn't realized at the time that he was drugged.

He doesn't even remember the event. He remembers waiting for Alexa to finish the reports with Joa and drinking. He doesn't remember anything else. He was nervous, that's why he'd been drinking. If he hadn't then Alexa would still be his.

He had been planning on asking Alexa to marry him while they were out sightseeing that's why he'd been nervous. That's why he drank and that's how he lost the woman that he loved.

He wishes there was a way to go back in time and not take that first drink. Then maybe instead of recovering from a rape incident he doesn't even remember, he'd be waking up beside his fiancee.

How he wishes that it was that scenario instead of the one his reality is.

Hell, that's what he's now living in and he's going to make sure that the bitch Mei Ling lives it right along with him.

Trey has a very determined look on his face when a maid brings him food.

"Would you inform your boss that I would like to talk to him when it's convenient?"

The maid assures Trey that she will give Joa the message right away. As she leaves the room, Trey determinedly eats the food set before him. The sooner he's better the sooner he can get home.

But first, Joa needs to be freed so he has some lessons that need to be done.

The thought of those lessons make Trey a little sick, but he'll do anything for Alexa, even that. He needs to see her and try to get her forgiveness.
