As the three reenter the ballroom and the party, people notice and rumors start up. Rumors that Trey and Alexa are reconciling after all. Not one of the people there expect the announcement that Trey gives.

Trey makes his way up to the dais that had been set up. Once there he waits until he has everyone's attention. His future father-in-law and fiancee wait expectantly for the announcement of the engagement.

They are therefore more than a little blindsided by the announcement Trey gives before that.

"Ladies and gentlemen and all others," there is a smattering of chuckles heard in the room. Most of the people there are part of the underworld in some form or another. It would be a long stretch to say that any of them are gentlemen.

"I have an announcement that has been put off for some time. A very special person to me hasn't allowed me to make this announcement until tonight. Alexa Chambers, would you come stand by me at this time?" Trey asks and Alexa hides the smirk as she captures a look from the soon to be fiancee. If looks could kill, Alexa would be dead right then. She ignores the look and goes to stand by Trey's side.

"Many of you know, well most of you know, that Alexa was my girlfriend and during that time there were some changes made. She has refused to allow me to announce these arrangements until tonight. The Black Rose Mafia is not only allied with The Silver Dragons, Alexa's mafia, but is actually under her control. Tomorrow I will be finishing the tattoo that shows The Black Rose's capitulation to The Silver Dragons."

There is a profound silence that fills the room with his words. No mafia that large has ever capitulated to another without a great deal of bloodshed.

Richard Simonson jumps up on the dais and proclaims before them all that the wedding between his daughter and Trey is over.

There are gasps from various people throughout the room. Such a public breaking of a contract is unknown and won't go without consequences.

Trey looks coolly at the man before him, "Are you sure that you wish to do that Mr. Simonson?" Trey wants to make sure that he can't back out of it once the repercussions hit the fan.

"Of course I'm sure of it, Mr. Michaels. The wedding is off, I wouldn't allow my daughter to marry anyone that isn't on top."

"Are you sure that you wish to go through with the breaking of the contract?" Trey demands once more.

Mr. Simonson looks at his daughter and her tear stained face, then back to Trey Michaels. "I am very sure, Mr. Michaels. The contact is no more and so is the wedding."

Mr. Simonson had ignored his lawyers efforts to get his attention and is therefore discomfited by the smirk Trey gives him. "You have broken the contract in a room full of witnesses. Therefore the clause comes into effect. Thank you very much for giving me your businesses Mr. Simonson. A pleasure doing business with you."

Only then does the reality of what he just did hit Mr. Simonson. He staggers off the dais and is caught by one of Trey's men as he collapses from shock.

"Take him to a guest room. Jeanine, go tend to your father." Trey orders looking at the female that wanted him to marry her. He sneers as she rushes to her fathers side as he's taken out of the room.

Looking back to the now quiet ballroom. "Well, I guess that means I won't have to make the other announcement, thank goodness. Please, everyone, eat, drink, dance and have fun. This is truly a night of celebration and near misses." Trey sneers as the music starts back up.

He gets off the dais and goes to Alexa's side.  "Please, Alexa, now that business is dealt with, can I talk to you about something personal?"

Alexa sighs, she's avoided this talk for long enough. She's no coward and needs to get it dealt with. "Yes, Trey, let's go somewhere private and talk."

Once more Jin melts into the crowd, but this time he makes eye contact with Joa and they both bite their lips hoping that things are worked out between the two headstrong mafia leaders.

This time instead of taking Alexa to his study he escorts her out to his garden. He nods to his guards and they nod back. They'll keep all other guests from interrupting. They want Trey to get back with Miss Alexa. Not only do they miss her, but Trey has become impossible to deal with since she left and he returned from Asia.

Trey guides her to the summerhouse and assists her inside. Once he has her settled he takes her hands in his. "I just want you to know, I realize that I messed up in Asia. I have no memory of it, but Joa showed me the security footage. I'm sorry, more sorry than you can possibly know.

"I wouldn't even have been drinking but I was nervous and I wanted the alcohol to settle my nerves."

Alexa looks at him in confusion. "You were well used to me, Trey, by that time. Why were you nervous?"

Trey sighs out and looks down. He takes out a small box that he's been carrying around for months. He couldn't bare to leave it or give it away. It carries the reminder of all his hopes and dreams.

He takes the box and opens it as he gets on his knee, "I was going to ask you to marry me. I know that I had a far better chance in Asia than I do now, but it's been hell being without you, Alexa. I don't deserve you and after what happened both back in Asia and here with the Simonson's I wouldn't blame you if you say no.

"But before you say anything, I just want to say, I love you. You can't blame it on the training, it isn't Stockholm syndrome or anything like that. I love you and I hate feeling like half of me is missing because you're not with me. I need you, Alexa. I need and love you more than anything. If you asked it of me I would even stop breathing for you..."

Alexa puts her hand on his mouth.

"I miss you too, Trey. I realize that what happened in Asia wasn't your fault. I should have stayed by your side instead of running back here. I just couldn't get the memory of you being with that bitch out of my mind." Alexa stops and takes a breath, looking at him with a little frown she asks, "What did you do with her anyway?"

Trey sneers, "I put her to work in a brothel, she must be pretty good since she's highly requested."

Alexa merely nods. "What about Brianna and-"

"They have both passed the lessons. But since they would like to work for you they currently aren't working, just living as supervised guests in my home."

Alexa looks at Trey curiously, "What does supervised guest entail?"

Trey sighs, "They have access to the common areas of the house as long as they are with one of my men or they are in a room with cameras."

Alexa's snorts in laughter, "All your rooms have cameras, Trey. Even your bedroom." Trey had, had to have the camera's turned off until he'd gained his freedom.

Trey nods and  just sits there. Alexa not answering his question is answer enough isn't it?

"Yes." Alexa says after the silence goes on for some time. Trey had been lost in his memories of him and Alexa and so her speaking throws him off.

"What was that Alexa?" Trey says once he's back in the here and now.

"I said, yes. Yes, I'll marry you." Alexa says as a smirk comes onto her face at the stunned look Trey has.

Once Trey gets over his shock he jumps up and grabs Alexa and swings her around until they are both dizzy.

Unseen to them both the two Asian men melt back into the shadows and rejoin the party. One goes to find Trey's second and the other pulls out his phone.

"Blaze, Trey did it. He proposed and Alexa said yes." Jin smiles as he ends the call and puts his phone back into his pocket. It's about time.
