THE RECKONING

EVERYONE WAS AT THE school doing senior prank night. Aria, Elena, Bonnie, Tyler, and Caroline were in the same room putting mouse traps on the ground. "This is going to be sick," Aria said, rubbing her hands together. She couldn't wait. The room was dark and everyone had a flashlight. Elena and Aria put a few more on the ground, suddenly, loud snapping went off in the room, causing her to shriek.

When the lights flickered on, Matt stood in the doorway. Aria scowled at him, and Caroline yelled, "Ohh! Come on, seriously? Do you know how long it took for all of us to set this up?" She growled. Aria shook her head. "Way to go, Matt." "Forgot about senior prank night, huh?" Tyler said. "Clearly," Matt said. "How could you forget? We've only been waiting for this since freshman year," the blond said.

"I'm kind of surprised any of you are doing this."

"Way to ruin the mood, Matt," Aria said. "Caroline's making us," Elena chuckled. "We're about to be seniors. These are the memories that stay with us forever, and if we don't..." she started. Aria finished her sentence. "And If we don't create these memories now, then what's the point of it all?"

"Go ahead, make fun. I don't care." Aria laughed.

"You're all lame. And I've got ten more classrooms to prank." Tyler said, smiling before taking his bag and exiting the room. Aria stood off the desk, careful not to step on anymore mouse traps. "Hey, where are you going?" She asked. "To superglue my boyfriends desk shut. I'm making memories. You coming?" She asked Elena, who nodded. "Yep," she held the glue in her hands and the girls headed to the door. "I love you!" Caroline shouted.

The girls laughed and headed out in the hallway. It was cool being in the school at night. No teachers to bother you during the day, no students annoying you in the meantime. "Get the felicity toilet seats, and Dana needs bodies in the gym. Let's go," Tyler told a group of students, who nodded and listened, laughing happily. They ran off in a group making Aria chuckle and smile. "So... how do you like prank night?" Aria asked, swinging the double doors open.

Elena was about to reply until a figure stood in the way causing both of them to gasp. Klaus. It was Klaus.

"There's my girl," he smirked at Aria. "Klaus!" She said, backing up.

"You're supposed to be dead! What are we going to do about that, Hmm?"

-

Klaus grabbed both of the girls arm and dragged them down the hall. "You put a rather large kink in my plans, Aria. The whole point of breaking the curse and becoming a hybrid was to make more hybrids. I haven't been able to do that. Now my bet is, it has something to do with the fact that you're still breathing." He hissed angrily. Aria cringed. "If you're going to kill me, just do it! Leave my sister alone." "Not until I know I'm right. But I do have a way of making you both suffer." When they entered the gym, a few students were still making pranks.
