THE TIES THAT BIND

BONNIE, ELENA, AND ARIA were in this old church looking at Klaus family in the coffins. Aria walked around the room, her nose itching from the dust on top of the coffins. "I've been having these dreams for days now. It's like the witches have been sending me a message." "I just can't believe you guys have kept this from me this whole time." Aria turned, looking at her sister. "Us." She added. Aria nodded. "Stefan thought if you knew where the coffins were, Klaus could threaten people to get the information out of you." "So these are the rest of his family?" Aria asked.

"Yeah, Elijah and two others." Bonnie walked to the fourth coffin. "Now this one... is the one we can't open. We don't know who's in it or what's inside of it, only that I think my dream is telling me that it'll help kill Klaus." "What the hell are you doing here?"

Stefan walked in. Aria glared. "It's a free world, Stefan. We can be wherever we wanna be." "I needed them to know about the coffins." Bonnie said, stepping forward. "And I needed you to keep them out of it, Bonnie." "So what are you going to do, Stefan? Are you going to kidnap us so you won't tell anyone?" Elena asked. "Don't tempt me, Elena." "I think I know who can help open the coffin, Stefan. And I need the twins to help me find her." "Find who? What are you talking about?" "I couldn't place her face at first." She pulled out something from her pocket. A photo. Aria went to look at it and her eyes widened. "Oh, my god. Bonnie..." He took the picture from her hands. It was of her and her mother when she was little. "Who is this?" Stefan asked.

"It's my Mom."

Aria, Elena, and Bonnie sat in the kitchen looking at photos trying to find her Mom. "Los alamitos?" Aria glanced at her twin. "Um, too old." "Honolulu?" Aria raised an eyebrow. "Ugh, I wish. How many of these are there?" "A lot. I asked the sheriffs office to pull up every single Abby Bennett in the country." "I know us three haven't really been able to... that things have been weird because of Jeremy. So thank you for helping me with this. I know you have a lot to deal with." "Like the fact that Stefan almost turned us into vampires to scare Klaus?" Aria said. Bonnie frowned. "There's nothing more important, Bonnie," Elena said to her best friend. "It's surreal. Having to track down a women who bailed on her own kid."

"You know you don't have to, right? Let Stefan obsess over opening the coffin. It doesn't have to fall on you." Aria said. "The coffin is sealed shut. That makes it a witch problem. So it does fall on me. I was bound to see my mother sooner or later." Damon entered then, with a file in his hand. Aria furrowed her eyebrows.

"What the hell are you doing here, Damon?"

"Sooner. Abby Wilson, Monroe, North Carolina, born in Mystic Falls hospital. Graduated Mystic falls high blah, blah, blah, blah. A little compulsion helps speed up the research process." He laid the envelope on the table. "This is her," Bonnie said. The three girls looked at each other. "I call shotgun." Damon said. "Yeah, no." Elena said. "Why? You don't want me to hangout in the back with you?" He smirked.

Aria and Bonnie shared a look. "You're not coming, Damon." "Why? I'm the one who found her." "Ok, Damon, look, Bonnie hasn't seen her Mom for 15 years. We don't need your snarky commentary narrating the experience." He looks at her. Damon pouted and smiles. "What's going on with you two?" Bonnie asked. "We kissed. Now it's weird. Have a great trip." Arias eyes widened, she looked straight at Elena.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!"

-

Like usual, Aria sat in the back of the car while Bonnie drove and Elena took the passenger seat. She couldn't believe that Damon and Elena kissed. And she didn't tell her. Shaking that thought out of her head, she decided to try and call Alaric for the second time that day. When he didn't anwser, she frowned and put her phone away. Lately he hasn't been home much. She hasn't seen much of him since Jeremy left town. "I just can't believe I'm actually going to see her. Or meet her. Sort of. Since I don't really remember her."
