Riley's POV
Gabby, Kol, and I got back a day ago, and everyone was happy to see Gabby alive and well again. It was a touching moment. She went to see Marcel, Josh, and Vincent, and she even saw Davina— who was informed by Marcel of her former status.Elijah, as expected, scolded her for not telling him sooner about her prophecy. She apologized and explained everything. After he was done ranting, he then promised her he would not let it come true.
Now to the bad news; since Gabby, Kol, and I have been gone, this is what we missed: Klaus idiotically gave Cami a daylight ring before she was even ready, and she fed off of an ignorant man that was harassing her friend.
Klaus tried to stop her, she snapped his neck, and she compelled Charlie to help her get her dark objects back from Lucien's place. Nik caught her and confiscated them. She got mad as expected.
While she was talking to Hayley, she overheard Nik and Elijah talking about the last piece of white oak stake that's out there. Apparently, one of the witches that work for the Strix saw what the weapon was, and she said a riddle— Elijah dealt with the witch.
Cami figured out what it was before them, so she took it, and tried to trade it with Nik for her dark objects. Then the Strix's witches found out about it, and hunted her down for it, and took it. As if that's not bad enough, turns out one of the witches was a double agent.
The witch took the weapon and gave it to -wait for it- Freaking. Aurora. And. Leila! Like that's all we freaking need is those two banshees having a weapon that could kill my whole family.
And to add onto that, Davina became one of the Strix witches so she can find a way to bring Jacque back. Plus, Marcel had beat both Aya and Elijah to become the Strix new leader. But, he's thankfully still on our side.
Oh, and guess what the weapon is... my daughter's favorite toy. The toy Nik made for Rebekah a thousand years ago when they were kids. So, pretty much, we have a Missing White Oak situation on our hands. Fan-bloody-tastic! I think sarcastically.
I get interrupted from my thoughts hearing Nik say "The taxpayers of New Orleans deserve a skilled Chief of Police. How inept are you if not a single one of your men can locate the two women I seek?" I walk out of the room I'm staying in to find out what's going on.
I widen my eyes in shock when I see Nik holding a man in a police uniform in a choke-hold off of the balcony with one hand while he sips a cup of coffee with the other. The police chief squirms and gasps for breath with a terrified look on his face as he pleads with Nik "We're tryin'! They're like ghosts!"
I scoff and make myself known, making them look to me. Nik looks at me with a longing look, and I feel the same, but I hide mine and say to the man "Aurora de Martel and Leila Castle are rather petite and may indeed be able to slip through the cracks like wicked little cockroaches, but they are not ghosts. Bitches? Cowards? Pathetic? Evil? Wicked? Yes, but they're not ghosts."
Nik looks back to the man and smirks devilishly as he speaks "Not yet." Nik leans forward so he can look the police chief straight in the eyes "I think this city's finest could try a little bit harder, hmm?"
I sigh and go to try and ask Nik to release him, when I see Freya and Elijah walking towards him, looking at their younger brother with exasperation. Freya states sarcastically "I see we're in for another normal Mikaelson breakfast."
Elijah rolls his eyes and gives Klaus an incredulous look "Niklaus, for Heaven's sakes! Release the poor creature." I squint my eyes and frown at that statement. I state "Elijah, no!" As on cue, Nik does as Elijah said and drops the man, allowing him to fall onto the floor of the Courtyard.
