As everyone raced into the doorway, Hailey already realized how crowded it would be, as well as the difficulty it would be to push through all the bodies, so she boosted herself above the crowd and propelled herself ahead of the rest of the students. She knew that others would quickly follow, so as she landed on her feet, she began a steady paced run.
She knew that everyone who was smart enough to realize what was happening and came up with a plan would pass her. To that she would follow the lead of whoever she felt had the best chance.
Hailey then decided against her original plan, she got here on her own wits, if luck was on her side, she would continue to make decisions for herself. She couldn't rely on someone else to win for her.
Upon hearing others yell at Todoroki, Hailey had boosted her jump to avoid the sudden coldness of the ice. She smirked, ice was something she grew up on, she slides and skated on it for fun.
'This will be fun, I don't need to know your weaknesses Todoroki. I will best you and you'll understand why I'm in this class. Ironically, maybe you would have learned my weaknesses.'
Hailey looked back behind her to see Todoroki catching up to her, a lot of students behind them as well. Just then, she saw Mineta proclaim that he had bested Todoroki's attack, only to be hit by a giant robot.
"So this is what they faced during the entrance exam." Todoroki commented.
'That's right, he got in on recommendation.'
Visibly unhappy about this part of the course, Hailey glared at the robots that were from the entrance exam. She didn't like being cornered with Todoroki, not when he made it clear that he was competing with everyone and would not cooperate to work together.
"They obviously went through of lot of trouble, but I wish they prepared something a little more difficult." Todoroki spoke to no one in particular and completely encased the robot in ice with a swift motion.
Hailey immediately took the opportunity and began to run again, "You know, you could be an artist, Todoroki!" She teased as she ran ahead of him. "I know I'd buy one of your ice sculptures."
She knew that teasing him would only further aggravate him, but she decided that she would show him on what great friendship he was missing out on.
She then heard someone exclaim that they saw the opening between its legs, only for Todoroki to reply that he froze the robot while it was off balance, on purpose.
'Okay this guy is honestly making it real difficult to want to be friends with him.' Hailey thought in distaste. She then felt the ground move as the robot collapsed behind them.
Present Mic commented on Todoroki's attack being very spectacular, as well as Hailey's reflexes to take the opening.
Aizawa commented that the attack was both offensive and defensive, as well as Hailey's action being very clever and adaptive.
Hailey then heard that Kirishima made a hardcore debut. She couldn't help but smile at her friend probably screaming how he is alive or how he was a man.
Hailey then came to a very complicated looking terrain.
'Oh shitshitshit, if I wait too long Todoroki and the others will catch up. I don't want to use my quirk too much or I'll just such a bad migraine and nose bleed.' Hailey thought in a panic.
Hailey then shook her head and backed up. She then took off in a running start and jumped in the air, creating a large wavelength to boost her over the large obstacle.
She took an unsteady breath, feeling blood drip from her nose, as she landed on the ground. She continued to run, wiping her nose and looking over her shoulder to see Todoroki ice the wires and slide past the course with ease, then noticed Bakugou using his quirk to propel himself in the air.
