As the three days of the written final ensued, Hailey always felt that she was on the brink of collapsing after walking out of the classroom. Her brain was being heavily worked, but she continued to push through it the best that she could. Hailey was determined to attend that training camp and to prove it to herself that she was smarter than she gave herself credit for.Midoriya always checked up on her, seeing that on the second day, Hailey fell into the bushes as she lost consciousness when leaving the school after the first day. Everyone looked out for each other, it was nice, but Hailey avoided listening to them reviewing the answers that they put on their tests. It was a routine she had from her old school, those conversations either made Hailey feel very idiotic or very smart (which was rarely the case).
After the written portion ended, the class found themselves awaiting for their practical portion of the exam.
"Now then, let's begin the last test." Mr Aizawa began, beginning in a group of the other teachers.
Hailey felt that her prediction of the teachers being the main opponents for the practical exam were more true. Why else would they all be there in the first place if not?
"Remember, it's possible to fail this final. If you wanna go to camp, don't make any stupid mistakes." Mr Aizawa explained.
Hailey adjusted her eye gear, the settings giving her a visible read on her body's status. Her heart rate was at its usual higher than normal with the anxiety kicking in.
"Why are all the teachers here?" Jirou finally asked, which gave Hailey and the other students the answer that they've been dying to know.
"I figured that all of you would have gathered information about what you'll be faced with during this part of the exam." Mr Aizawa answered.
"We're fighting those big old robots!" Kaminari cheered excitedly.
"Fireworks! Sm'ores here we come!" Mina exclaimed happily.
Mr Aizawa glared at the students.
"Actually, this years test will be completely different for various reasons!" Principal Nezu cheered, popped up from Aizawa's scarf.
Hailey was taken aback from his sudden appearance, almost backing into Todoroki. "Holy crap."
"You're changing the tests?!" Yaoyorozu asked, feeling disheartened.
"The tests have a new focus," The Principal began to explain, as he climbed down from Aizawa's shoulder with his scarf. "There will be hero work of course, but also teamwork and combat between actual people! So what does that mean for you? You students will be working together in pairs- one odd group of three, and your opponents are one of these esteemed UA teachers! Isn't that fabulous?!"
Everyone looked in shock.
"Additionally, your opponents and partners have been decided previously. They were determined by my discretion, based on various factors including; fighting styles, grades and interpersonal relationships." Mr Aizawa continued to conclude the basic information that the students were to know, "First, Yaoyorozu and Todoroki are a team, against me." Mr Aizawa gave a colt look towards the two.
"Then we have Midoriya paired with Bakugou." The two looked at each other in surprise. Hailey shook her head at how well she doubted that team would do.
"Their opponent is-"
Just as Mr Aizawa was about to introduce him, the dramatic drop in of All Might ensued. Hailey's eyes widened, as many other of her peers' did too.
"I am here- to fight!" He announced.
"We're up against All Might?!"
"Oh they are so dead." Hailey muttered, feeling internal dread for her green haired friend.
