Hailey chuckled at her classmates' behaviour, almost everyone jumping at the chance to be the class representative.
'Although I'm happy to do some normal school stuff, what's the point? Not like this student council will have dances or anything other than the cultural festival.' She thought, amusing herself with writing her name in a cursive fashion on the top of her lined paper. 'Who would even be a good choice for class rep? Some of these guys don't understand the responsibilities of doing this sort of stuff.'
"You guys." Hailey shouted, sternly. She got everyone's attention and the yelling was supressed. "I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news, but how many of you are actually ready for the leadership and responsibilities of being a class rep? Trust me on this that it's not something that anyone can do."
"Roselle makes a good point, she was actually the president of her previous school's student council. She speaks from experience." Mr Aizawa pointed out.
"Yes! The class rep must have the respect and trust of their classmates in order to preserve as a true leader! I say that we hold an election to choose our leader!" Iida declared in a serious tone.
'Look's like someone's already got my vote.' Hailey smirked.
Then the others began to question how to decide if they had only known each other for a few days.
Mr Aizawa didn't care, he just wanted it to be over with before his nap was over.

When the results were determined, Midoriya was shocked to have gotten three votes, tying with Hailey, who felt hesitant.
'I mean, I feel happy that people think of me as a leader, but am I really cut out for this? Shit, maybe Yaoyarozu can take my place.'
"I only got..one vote..?" Iida muttered to himself.
"Looks like our Rep is either, Midoriya or Roselle." Aizawa stated.
"Actually, sir." Hailey piped up, "I don't think I'm up for this yet, I mean sure, I've got experience, but in reality, more people need the experience than I do. Maybe next year?"
"Huh? You don't wanna be class rep?" Midoriya stammered.
"Not yet, I appreciate the votes, but it wouldn't be fair to everyone if my heart wasn't in it." She answered with a smile.
"Alright then, it looks like Midoriya is our Class Rep and since Yaoyorozu had the next highest amount of votes, is our deputy." Mr Aizawa concluded.
"A-are you sure this isn't a mistake?" Midoriya stuttered nervously.
"I can get behind this." Kirishima approved.
Though Hailey felt the same, noticed Iida's almost seething form.

"I still can't believe you turned down the Class Rep thing." Kaminari commented as he chewed his food.
"Yeah, you were one of the only people who technically had the most to offer." Sero added.
"Thanks guys, but I've been thinking that I shouldn't bite off more than I can chew with my first year here. I wanna be comfortable here, be sure of myself before taking leadership over our class. It would feel like I'm lying to everyone if I did it because someone told me to. Maybe next year." Hailey smiled.
"See? Matureness!" Kaminari exclaimed.
Hailey giggled, "I get that from hanging around my mom too much. She's running her own agency and I guess she's kind of rubbed off on me." She said, sheepishly.
