Chapter 2

I sat on the couch with an icepack resting under my head, mum said not to move a lot today so I got banished to the couch with only Neighbours to watch. It was pretty boring actually because in every episode you knew what was going to happen and every time you knew who would do what. I decided I would change the channel. But sadly as I went through the channels, nothing was on, absolutely nothing.

I turned off the TV in disappointment and turned my head to adjust with the icepack, the coldness of the icepack slowly froze the back part of my head. Suddenly it began to throb, throb and throb. I didn’t know what to do so I yelled to mum. Noting happened, so I yelled louder.

“MUUUUUMMMM!!!!” I screamed as I sat up and held the back of my head.

Finally I heard footsteps that sounded like mums and sure enough, she came fast walking to me.

“What happened!?” She said as she inspected the scene.

“My head hurts!!!” I said as I clenched the back of my head.

“Oh no! You’re not supposed to keep that icepack on all the time! You only needed it for 30mins!” She said she snatched the icepack.

“Well why didn’t you come and tell me that!?” I raised my voice.

“Because I was too busy organising tickets for America!” She yelled and marched out of the room.

I realised what I had done I immediately regretted it. After all she has done for I had to yell at her; sometimes I think I should just be locked away in a tower like Rapunzel so I don’t say anything stupid to anyone. I stop thinking about trying to lock myself up when slowly fell asleep and drifted into a dream.

“Scar....Scar…..SCARLETT!” I heard a voice say.

My eyes slowly opened, I saw mum with a very worried expression on her delicate face. Suddenly my eyes started to shut and suddenly I felt my body been lifted and carried, I was still out cold, but I felt the jolts as the person stepped. Soon enough I felt the huge jolts as we travelled upwards, I suppose we were going up the stairs when suddenly we stopped and I flung into the air to be caught back in the hands of my carrier.

Thumping down the hallway and finally one last plunge onto the bed, making contact with the pillow I feel someone tucking me in, pulling the blanket just high enough to cover up to my neck. I didn’t know much after that, everything was silent and suddenly it was the next day….

"Arrghhh" I exclaim, hearing my alarm clock ringing in my ear, and the back of my head hurting.

I reached over, slamming the top of the alarm clock, nearly to that state of smashing it, when i realised someone was sitting beside me.

"EEEP" i exclaim, jumping across the bed to the other side.

I took a closer look, creeping to the woman on the chair and sighed with a huge smile on my face, it was mum.I started laughing hysterically, jumping all over the bed, till my stomach started to ache and.....

"OUCH!!" I screamed as i collided with the floor with a big BANG!

I heard someone's footsteps running over to me, i opened my eyes to reveal mum standing there looking at me,

"You gave me a heart attack Scar!" She exclaimed as she came to check to see if i was alright.

"Well why were in my room anyway?" I retorted, looking at her with my 'Get the hell out' expression.
