Nina curled up next to her nested friend. His large frame filling her bed. Kana never learned to leave her bed, Nina giggled looking up at the sleeping bird. His bluish grey feathers were ruffled his head tucked under a large wing. She had raised him over the months, nurturing him and she admired the large beast he had become. She quietly climbed out of bed stretching. Taking one last glance at her "pet" she snuck out of her room and silently padded down the long corridor of the ship. She came to the kehrite, their training room. Tatsu spent countless hours in training the two young bloods, and herself.
Even though she was close to the two brothers they were every inch young males and when restless or in the heat of training they were extremely aggressive and easily agitated, as was the Yautja way. Nina had learned not to spar with them. She strictly trained with their patient more wiser leader. Mizuhara in the heat of sparring was all growl and indeed every inch "young blood" she watched him push Tatsu.....a sign of challenge. She held her breath, Tatsu though patient in teaching he was a warrior, fire ran through those veins, Nina thought to herself, Mizuhara was sure to be punished for his insubordination.
Again Mizuhara pushed his leader at the shoulder. Again Tatsu slipped the move unthinkingly. He saw the surprise on the young one's face. And perhaps, too late, a touch of realization that he had made an error. A very bad error.
Tatsu deflected no longer. He grabbed Mizuhara's hands and held them high with his own.
Mizuhara screamed into his face, the shrill sound rang loudly in the room, mixed with his brother's hissing. Tatsu did not pause, unthreatened. How could he? The warrior was capable of taking down skilled warriors of his own kind...
The Leader jerked his head forward. Their skulls met with a dull crack that sent the young blood to his knees, his arms still held up in confusion. A tiny trickle of pale blood ran down Mizuhara's face. Without taking his gaze from Tatsu, the student reached up and touched the flow, rubbed it between his fingers for confirmation; he did not seem to like the feel. Too bad.
Mizuhara spread his arms wide, back hunched, and screamed as he got to his feet. The sounds were garbled with fury.
Enough was enough. Tatsu locked his fingers together and leapt. He landed beside the impudent yautja and brought his double-fist down, hard, into the small of the still-screaming Mizuhara's back, before he even knew what happened, causing him to fall to the floor. His lower jaw smacked the mat quite audibly.
New blood oozed from the young male's lower mandibles, only infuriating the youngster more, he charged. Tatsu fell to his knees before Mizuhara reached him and grasped the student's overstretched upper body with one hand, his nearer leg with the other. Tatsu made the move appear effortless, as was his way. As if the youth weighed no more than a suckling, Tatsu stood and thrust Mizuhara high over his head. The howling yautja tried to escape and regain the floor, but his writhings were to no avail. Tatsu held the young male high, let out a growl of conquest then threw Mizuhara across the room, he smacked against the wall.
Mizuhara staggered upright and walked slowly toward his Leader, head bowed in submission. Tatsu shook the youngsters shoulder and dismissed him. At least he was smart enough to know another challenge would be dishonorable and stupid. The young males left the kehrite, not even acknowledging Nina as they passed by her. Men, she thought as she entered the room. The room smelled of that familiar musk the Yautja gave off in their heightened adrenaline. Tatsu eyed her as she approached. In his post scuffle his adrenaline was pumping, seeing Nina was the last thing he wanted. Home he would have had females to breed, his favorite thing to unleash his remaining energy on. His seed stirred in his loins thinking of all his females at home. He cursed Nina under his breath and turned away from her.
"That was a good spar." She said admiringly.
He grinned. "The pups still have a lot to learn. All young Yautja believe they are the god's gift to the universe. I remember what it was like."
"You all are restless. Perhaps it's time to hunt?" She chimed. She herself felt restless she could only imagine how the males felt. Without thinking she closed the distance between them. He still had his back turned to her, reaching out her tiny hand rested on his thick bicep. Before she could speak he quickly turned around with a growl.
His eyes were full of fire, his musk extremely strong. It almost made her dizzy smelling it. She held her breath as he towered over her, following her close as she backed up. She backed herself into a wall, she stared up at him.
"What is the matter Nina? Do I frighten you?" He churred, his mandibles flared.
"N...no." She tried to stand tall, even though she stuttered.
"Then why did you back away?" He leaned over her, his body so close she could feel the heat radiating off his body.
"Because." She licked her now dry lips. "I know that look in your eye, and what it means."
His large finger traced her jawline, back behind her ear and slowly down her neck across her collarbone, causing her skin to prickle with goosebumps. His eyes studied her small frame and anatomy, then back up to meet hers again. He could see deep in her pooling green eyes fear, but her body gave off an aroma that could only mean one thing. His mandibles twitched. He wanted to taste that essence so badly, something he's never done before.... but that smell, so so tantalizing.
He pressed his body against her, causing her to release a small whimper. He cupped her face, engulfing her with hands bigger than her head that could so easily crush her skull. His touch was very gentle, he made her look up at him.
"When there is no more fear in your eyes.... come and see me. Until then, do not bother me when I am full of musk. Do you understand?" She shook her head yes and he pushed away from her. Walking away he left the room.
