"Kris?" Toriel had knocked on Kris's door, but with no answer. She stood and waited for a big, before knocking again. "Kris? Is everything okay?"

You stood amongst the wreck. The Gaster Blaster had put a big burn mark on the wall, and with it, a splatter of blood. You had intended on cleaning up and moving on, especially with it's new found soul it collected. It now had three human souls. But now, Toriel was at the door, knocking excessively. You would just have to leave and let her see the blood. It's wasn't as if the police would find it anyway.

You summoned Sans's soul, from the other universe. The one where everything had died. It used the powers of teleportation it carried, and vanished. Toriel walked in, saw the blood and started screaming.

The screaming must've alerted the neighbours, because almost immediately, chief officer Undyne came busting through the door to see Toriel a sobbing wreck on the floor. With her, officer Napstablook. Undyne was hyped. Finally, something was happening in that town, where she was bored to death half the time.

Napstablook went to go examine the blood and collect traces of it, the best he could with no arms. Undyne went to question Toriel.

"Did you see who took your child?"

"No."

"Did you hear anything."

"They kept tossing and turning in bed, then I think they fell out. I thought they'd had a nightmare so I went to check on them. Then there was a loud blasting noise and I open the door and they're gone, there's just blood." Toriel sniffed, her entire body shaking. "I have no idea what happened."

"Right." Undyne had been writing all this down, her general excitement wearing off. Now she had her business suit on, and was ready for action. "We'll start asking around town, see if anyone's seen anything. Blooky, stay here with her, please. She looks like she needs to calm down. I can assure you, Ms. Dreemurr, we'll find your child and the punk who took 'em."

Undyne left the house with that and started knocking on doors. Everyone said the same thing. 'No I only saw them this evening.' Undyne was disappointed. She could find a lead anywhere. Napstablook said Toriel had tried calling their phone, but there was no answer. Undyne liked Kris. They had stopped to speak to her earlier that day, and told them about someone who would apparently make her life more interesting. Undyne went to go find that person, knowing she was Kris's teacher.

It was way near dawn when Undyne finally found her, skulking out of the general store eating cat food out of a bag like they were chips. Undyne nearly pulled a gun on her out of panic, but saw her barely dressed and looking so small and meek, and decided against it.

"Miss Alphys?" Undone asked, walking up to her.

"Officer Undyne." She had to look up at Undyne, the height difference was so immense. "Did I do something wrong?"

"I don't think so. Toriel Dremurr's kid, Kris, they've gone missing. I know yesterday they mentioned you to me. I know you're their teacher. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" Undyne got out her notebook, and skimmed over the last thing she wrote.

Why does no one in this town know what's going on?!

"Was Kris in your class yesterday?"

"Yeah." Alphys answered, "they went to go get some chalk with Susie at the start of the day, after coming in late. Both of them never came back. But Kris showed up after school yesterday, near where I live. I said hi, spoke to them a bit, then they left. I haven't seen Susie."

Undyne wasn't listening until hearing Susie's name, she was admiring Alphys. The poor thing looked so nervous. Undyne didn't blame her. She'd been told she was terrifying. But Alphys was also kinda cute. Undyne felt slightly fuzzy looking at her.

She scribbled her number down in her notebook and gave it to Alphys. She also drew a small heart next to it, but played it into her signature. Hopefully Alphys was smart enough to catch on. She ripped it out of the notebook and handed it to her. "If you find any information, call this number."

Undyne started walking away, knowing exactly where she was headed. Kris had last been seen with Susie. So Susie was where she was going.

You watched from the shadow. It wouldn't be able to use Kris's power unless it was in the Dark World. But You also needed Susie. It would be too risky attempting to take Susie's soul in the Light World. It wouldn't hurt to lure her down, it supposed.
