Lancer was almost thrilled to see Jevil out of his cage. Slightly scared, but thrilled. Susie had all the rights to nearly scream in rage when she saw him, but Lancer had shook his hand respectfully and said it was great to welcome him back into society. The King countered this by saying society was only for tall people and Jevil had to leave right then. Rouxls was still recovering and trying to figure out why his healing wasn't working. Apparently, anyway. Lancer hadn't seen him. Ralsei was with him, though, so he couldn't be in a total state.

The King had recovered pretty quickly. The second he heard that Gaster had freed Jevil, he was out of the medical room faster than Jevil could do anything, and almost strangled them both to death. Lancer had never seen the old man move so fast. It was impressive and terrifying. The King was still yelling at Gaster whilst Susie, Lancer, Ralsei and Jevil has all joined Rouxls in the medical room so Jevil could finally meet Rouxls Kaard in person.

"Lancer's told me lots about you, you know? Duke of puzzles? Lucky. The old duke of puzzles was a genius, though, too bad the Spade King murdered him in cold blood. If I remember correctly he almost got Seam, too, but Lancer did something dumb and the King got mad and let Seam leave."

When the King and first gained control, he had arrested everyone. When the cave was full, he lined people up who he saw as useless or a waste of space and killed them all, including the old duke of puzzles. Lancer never bothers to learn his name because he never liked him. He was kinda mean and didn't really appreciate that other people had feelings. He was still sad to see him go, though. Seam was one of these 'wastes of space.' Though Lancer had a feeling it was because the King held the whole Jevil thing against him. Of course, now Gaster had showed up, everyone was starting to doubt it was Seam's fault. Still, he only survived because Lancer had been such a disappointment.

"So, you're here to stay, then?" Susie asked, still wary around Jevil, even though she'd met him before.

"They can't send me back now. The key's gone." Jevil smiled wider. He probably ate the key. Nobody would be surprised if he did. "Plus I wanna really fight this You thing. I hear it's quite powerful. I'd like to see it try and kill me."

"Thou hath no idea what it can doeth." Rouxls said, "it summons other people's souls and uses them againstest us. It's probably trying to get ours."

"Yeah?" Jevil's smile faltered a bit. "Don't let it take your soul, then."

"It needeths us aliveth to use our souls, it can't killeth us. It's our only advantage. We're doomed."

"Sometimes it's just like that." Susie said, kinda sarcastically, but not really sarcastically at all.

"If it helps, that Gaster dude apparently showed up because the King stole Kris's soul back from You. We can try do that?" Ralsei suggested, semi-hopefully

"That's a wonderful idea! That would definitely work. Why don't we go flouncing down to wherever the hell this thing is, challenge if, then snatch the soul of some ridiculously overpowered beast that's trying to kill us? I'm sure that won't be dangerous or get us killed or maimed at all, great idea Ralsei, have a gold star!" Lancer said, definitely sarcastically whilst also looking at Ralsei like she was a complete idiot.

"I'm sensing a lot of bitterness." Jevil chuckled. "I didn't know you were sarcastic."

"He's moody because he's tired. Thou hathn't slept. None of thou hath." Rouxls said. "Thou should. I'll be okay, I don't need thee to watch over me."

Susie looked around, before lying down on her stomach and pressing her face into the floor. "Night, then." She said, the went quiet.

"How do you fall asleep that quickly?"
