"People of the Dark World." The King sat there on his throne, with Rouxls and Lancer at either side. Lancer felt really important, and he loved it. He was a bit like his father. Megalomania ran in his veins. But unlike his father, he wouldn't give into it. "We have a code red situation."

Lancer looked around at the sea of faces staring at him. He saw Susie, shirt torn. He wondered why she wasn't bleeding. He saw Ralsei, trembling and confused. He must've been so scared. Ralsei was always a bit of a wimp. He also saw Seam, who he hadn't seen in-

And everyone who says no is to be executed-

Forever. He looked bored. But Lancer noticed he also seemed to be looking for someone.

Gaster was in the corner of the room, slumped with his arms crossed against the wall, standing. He was smiling, looking around the room as Lancer was. They accidentally made eye contact.

"Code red?" Seam said out of the blue. "When you say that, do you mean there's a mass genocide going on? Because I'm pretty sure code red is saved for mass genocide."

"Pretty much." The King's two mouths had exactly the same expression. Serious and like they could bite at any second. "There's a thing going around. I think it's called You. As far as we're aware, it's only goal is to destroy us. It's in the best interest of the safety of everyone in the kingdom, we all stay here and don't leave this castle. Every so often we'll send teams of three volunteers to check the area and make attempts to injure or kill You. And concerning the creep in the corner, his name is W.D Gaster. He's here to help."

Everyone in the room turned to stare at Gaster.

"I am."

All eyes turned back to the King, apart from Seam, who lingered for a second. He turned away eventually.

And just like that, the meeting was called off. Everyone slowly started filing out of the room, apart from Seam, who approached Gaster.

"Oh, I had the feeling you wanted to say something to me. Whatever it is, I-"

Seam punched him dead in the face and walked away. Gaster stood there, confused for a second, before he started laughing.

"Okay, I think I know what that was for. Good talk!"

Lancer followed Seam out of the room. He headed for the elevator, and Susie tagged along, dragging a reluctant Ralsei with them.

It took them a while to explain everything to Jevil, but when they did, he didn't seem surprised at all. Instead, he seemed more concerned about Gaster.

"I don't trust him, and you shouldn't either."

"Seam seems to think the same." Lancer noticed Jevil tense up a bit at Seam's name. "He punched him in the face."

"He deserved it."

"What did he ever do to you?"

Jevil's seemingly permanent smile fell suddenly. "Do you know what it's like? Trapped out here. Alone, desperate, lost to the world? I don't know if anyone up there remembers me. I don't know how everyone's doing up there. My only gateway inside is through you. I'm not insane. I was told the truth about this world, and the others. Let me tell you a secret. I can do anything. Except one thing."

The three of them went dead silent. Ralsei finally stuttered out a 'what is it?'

"I can't prevent the inevitable. You want the truth about this world? We're all going to die. And I'm going to die out here, alone, with no one. They won't even know I'm gone. I'll tell you what, being out here drives me mad. It really does. Do you know who told me the truth? Who put me in this lonely little freedom?"

"It wasn't Gaster, was it?"

"If I ever see his face again, I'm going to kill him. Really kill him." Jevil grinned, "tell him 'hi' from Hell for me."

With that, he went silent. He could've disappeared for all they knew.

"This Gaster seems like a great guy." Ralsei said. "C'mon, they'll need us up there. I suppose we won't see Jevil for a really long time."

Jevil smiles a bit as they walked up the stairs. They'd see him again. Knowing Gaster was back in town, he suddenly wanted back into the cage.
