Andy closes his eyes as the soft music comes through his AirPods, his body relaxing into the sheets as if there wasn't a care in the world.

After what happened in the library, Andy had a panic attack. Marcel picked him up, and tried to gently pry his son for information, but the poor omega was just blubbering nonsense.

Sure, Andrew held his ground, and hopefully Lily didn't smell his fear and anxiety, but once that devil left? Oh, he wailed like a child being left in a corner while his friends play and eat candy.

And here he thought he overcame his social problems. Apparently not.

His mothers have been babying him since his early return, and Andy would be lying if he said he hated it. He was literally the baby of the house, and he loved it.

He's been getting bed side treatment, and not one parent has asked him about the trigger. He was appreciative of that, really, because he just couldn't tell them about Lily. He didn't want to be the mole that would cause years of turmoil within the family, especially since he just couldn't see Sophia leaving Lily right now.

"Hey," a voice mumbles and smooth hands are gently grabbing his elbow to stir him, "wake up, Andy."

"Hm?" Andy peeks one eye open, and quirks an eyebrow when he sees Vivianna standing above him. That didn't make him jump out of skin though. No, what made him jump was what she held in his face.

He sits up instantly and looks around. His room was destroyed. How far deep was he to not notice that Vivianna was in here?

His eyes drift to the closet, and his heart pounds when clothes are all over the floor and boxes are opened and tossed. Then, right in the door frame, laid the bag: opened and empty.

He looks back up at Vivianna, and swallows. The beta raises an eyebrow, and shakes the papers gently; signaling him to start talking, and fast.

So, he did. He spilled everything.

The next twenty-four hours were bland. James and Max were having sex sessions, blowing and grinding on each other but never penetration (James didn't feel comfortable yet), Andy was avoiding Lily and Sophia, Vivianna was helping Andy do research (she agreed to keep her mouth shut until they connected all the pieces so no one else knew), and Lily was laying low.

Everything seemed normal, if Andy were to be honest, he wouldn't think a single thing of Lily constantly having Sophia bring over home-cooked goods- or caring for his sister- if he hadn't seen what he did. However, he had proof that she wasn't so innocent (at least to Vivianna he did), so he couldn't ignore her 'kind' gestures.

"I think," Andy rubs his face tiredly, "that I found it. I think I found it."

"What is it?" His sister puts the article she was reading down, and sits up from the bed. They were currently in her room, both deciding to hide the papers with her.

"It's a stretch, but the only logical thing I can figure is that Lily is the daughter of one of the people who died in the fire." He adjusts his glasses. "Having your parents, or only parent, murdered and then have no justice? It's strong motive."

"How do we prove it?"

"This." Andy points at the screen and the beta gets off the bed to get closer and read. "It's not a well known article, the paper at the time wasn't even that famous, but it's something?"

The article basically said how Madam K, the home owner, had a child. She was a previously mated omega, whose alpha left her for another, and they had a child right before he left. In the census taken right before the fire, Madam K filed a small baby who has about one or two at the time but her name wasn't given. The child, according to the article, went to foster care but was soon adopted by an anonymous single omega. The baby was never heard from again.
