"I know you dont want to." Louis mumbles to his pups as he lines them up and fixes their outfits. "I just— your education is important, okay?"
"Mom, its too soon." Vivianna mumbles. The only kids missing were Andy, who William said would be going to his first therapy session today, and Sophia.
"The principle said you guys are missing too many days. I need you to pull through this year, okay?" He swallows. "Just a few more months."
"What about Andrew and Sophia?" James asks and the mother stops before moving away.
"Theyre on homebound."
"Thats not fair." Sage complains. "We all have trauma to work through!"
"Youre strong, all six of you," he mumbles weakly, "so is Andy and Soph, but— but Im not quite sure they'll pull through like you."
"Andy's going to be alright." Max growls, and Louis rubs his jaw to relax him.
"Please just head to the car." Louis whispers. "Ive notified all the teachers and administrators to lay easy on you, but dont abuse that. I'll see you around three. I love you."
The pups listen, heading out to where Marcel was waiting for them. The house falls silent, and Louis looks around the living area.
"You focus on everyone else moving on," the omega jumps and turns to his eldest alpha, "but what about you?"
"Me?" The omega chuckles softly. "I—Im fine."
"No you arent. Dont lie to me." Edward steps to him and cups his face. "Im the last person you should ever lie to."
"I just want things back to normal." A tear falls.
"That cant happen, Lou, you know that. That night, it happened. We have to cope with it before pushing forward. We have to grieve."
"I did grieve." He swallows and Edward sighs.
"Okay, I wasnt going to mention it." He starts. "I know what youre doing."
"What do you mean?" He continues, but his voice shakes.
"Dont play innocent."
"I havent done anything."
"Louis..."
"Eddy—"
"I know you paid all the bills and taxes on Nialls house." The omega doesnt meet his stare, swallowing as he blushes. "You bought the property."
"He had no will, the state wouldve taken it."
"Louis, we dont need it." Edward tries to convince him softly, seeing how fragile his mate was.
"I let this happen." The pain his chest begins to burst and heat his body up, making him breathe deeply.
"This wasnt your fault. You know that."
"I brought her to him, I asked him to raise her." Edward holds him close when he sees the walls Louis built up over the course of these few days begin to crumble. "I let it happen, I let him die."
"Louis—"
"I—I didnt even check on him!" He finally wails. "He was sick, bed ridden in that house with her, and I didnt go by there! I trusted her enough to care for him, and because of that she couldve spent days torturing him! I—I was a terrible friend, Edward!"
"Oh, my poor omega." He whispers and he gently picks the mourning mother up, carrying him to their room.
"I never said goodbye." He clenches the sheets when theyre laying down in the bed. "I never told him how much he meant to me. I never... I didnt—"
"Sh, now," Edward mumbles and he practically lays himself over Louis, trying to shield him, "sh."

Andy's eyes scan the lobby in an anxious wait. His knee bounces, his fingers grip onto each other, and his bottom lip gets stuck between his teeth.
"Andrew," he looks to his left where his mother sat, "relax."
"Sorry, mommy." He whispers and William takes his hands in his own, placing them in his lap and pulling the young pup into his chest.
"She's a beta." He whispers as he kisses Andy's hair. The boy closes his eyes, and enjoys his mothers scent. "I've met her already. She's a very sweet woman, gentle and easy. Just what you need, okay?"
"How often will I be visiting?"
"We started with once every two weeks for now." William answers.
"What about the others?" Andy looks up at him with big eyes. "Shouldnt they get some therapy too?"
"As of right now, they seem fine. You and Sophia are our main concerns. If they show signs of possible ptsd or trauma, we'll bring them here."
"You think I have ptsd?" Andy frowns and William swallows.
"No, but I know you need someone to vent to, someone who isnt as wounded as the rest of us."
Andy knew he was referring to Louis and him, and thinks about Niall. "Im sorry."
"Andrew, we've been over this—"
"About Niall." It falls silent. "Im so sorry. I was over there at least twice when he was sick, and I didnt think about checking on him. I let him slip my mind, and I failed to see the clues."
"We all failed, baby." William blinks his tears away. "We all failed him, but your mother and I especially."
"Mommy..." Andy whines at his mother's distress.
"His death isnt your burden to carry. None of this is your burden." William squeezes his shoulder. "Its ours."
Another short one, but important.
How do you feel about Louis' confession?
What do you think about Andy getting therapy and not the others?
Do you think the other pups' pain is being neglected? Why or why not?Hopefully the next one will be longer, but this was a nice sized bite of the emotions the twins are going through xx
